and I'm STILL burping up the wine I drank at the toast!!

Waitress came around with white and blush wines for the toast - I chose the white (thinking it was chardonay like I had had during the cocktail hour.)

After the first speech a took a sip of wine and made a horrible pucker face - I turn to another lady at our table - SAME FACE! heheh

I guess it was a pineapple wine that they had had down in Hawaii where they got engaged.

The rest of us with white wine drank water during the second speech!

It was a nice wedding though. DH and I left early...the DJ had not played 1 slow song after the bride and groom dance and it was 10pm. (IMO - the music was HORRIBLE - but the bridal party and were up there having fun with a handful of guests.) But that's just me...heck, no one else from our table ever got up to dance.

Oh - and the cake...heheh...yikes. needless to say, we bet this one guy at our table to eat 6 slices of the cake...heheh...the guy made $14 off the table! (then another $2 for chasing the cake with a glass of pineapple wine!)

all in all - had a great time with the people at our table - total strangers to DH and I, but we had fun.

LOL! What was wrong with the cake? I hate those couples who get the funky cake flavors or have weird fillings in each layer. What happened to plain white or chocolate cake?

hehe - it was chocolate cake with a raspberry mousse filling. but the cake was really...grainy?

and the fosting was that fondant stuff? blech. it was very, um, chewy.

and the place that did the cake are KNOWN for their spectacular cakes...my friend said the cake cost $16 per head.

I really, REALLY hope she was lying to me...I'd be pissed to pay $3 a head for that cake.

but because the chef was so famous for his cakes - it really surprised me.

 Dan, how could you!:earseek: LOL. Should have gotten the cake from Publix, they are OK, and not that expensive.:p

:earseek: I cannot believe that came out of your mouth Dan!!!!!!!!
