Hi there,
I am shopping for a Sony surround sound for my husband and need some help. Had I decided earlier I could have hit the electronic stores early Friday. But, well the brain storm didn't happen till today

All the major electonic stores have it for $499. I have found it as cheap as 379 on ebay but the shipping is 50. I am still weighing my options.


Anyone have any ideas??


**edited to add I couldn't resist I went ahead and bought it. I decided against the low end model and went with the inbetween for $499 on eBay with $50 shipping. This model is selling for $799. I think I got a great deal. And if not, oh, well it's too late now.

Glad you are happy - my DH over the last month or so ordered stereo equipment for his car - ?Indo or Indio audio on Ebay. He normally cruised through the mail-order catalogs and even with 2 orders with shipping he paid less than one from the mail-order company. Brand new in the box. So guess what - I have an eBay junkie..........and he's on the PC late at nite when I am asleep!!!!

I know what you mean at first it was only me shopping eBay but lately we are fighting for the computer........lol I have to be careful though since I am buying stuff for him for Christmas.

I'd suggest doing some online shopping to compare prices. Many online merchants ship free depending on the amount of your purchase. Some good sites have been mentioned already - BestBuy.com is another place with free shipping on all purchases.
