and bought the Olszewski Cinderella Castle online at Disneystore.com for 327 bucks (5 buck shipping). Am I crazy?

I bought mine almost a year ago when I was at WDW for one of those "_0" birthdays. Love it.

Sadly, I have no China cabinet or nowhere nice to keep it. I guess dusting it will become routine :( Do you know where I can get a very cheap case?

I say if it's something you'll love and you didn't have to go into debt for it (or if your debt can be paid off quickly) then you're not crazy at all. I'd love to see a photo once you've got it in it's "place". :)

I don't know how big it is, but try containerstore.com. They've got several different size display cases and they're good prices. I know they've got several locations around the country so you might be lucky and be close to one, then you wouldn't have to pay shipping.

I totally agree with pixiewings71

I bought the castle a few years ago and absolutely love it! I also have the Town Square. Am thinking about adding a few more of his pieces. Enjoy!

I bought one for a birthday gift to myself. I'm also having a terrible time finding something to put it in so it dosen't get ruined by kids and dust. I really wanted a cloche or glass top to cover it, but can't find one in the correct size. Any help is appreciated.:confused3

Mine is on an upper shelf in my Disney office but I am also interested in finding a glass cover to keep it clean.

This was one item I always stared at whenever I was at the uptown jewelers store on main street in the magic kingdom. I've been wanting to get this for years, and finally made the purchase while on vacation over xmas.:goodvibes Now I need a case or display to place it in so my cats won't get to it.

I ordered the large doll case from the container store. Guess what?? IT FITS!!! Yes! I still would much rather have glass, but at least I can put the castle out to display until I find a nicer peice. The plastic dosen't look too bad and it will do! Very happy to just see it out. I have it next to my bed, on the bedside table. It's the first thing I see in the morning and the last thing I see at night. (besides my DH of course!):cool1:

No way, you're not crazy! I've spent about the same on a few items I collect. A doll for example. You can't go wrong with Disneyana. Most items retain their value and continue to go up. It's beautiful, good luck displaying it!

The castle is such a cool piece. I don't have one, but I sure don't think it's crazy to purchase it if you want it. Would it be that difficult to dust? I think having something that cool needs to be prominently displayed. It would certainly be worth dusting occasionally(maybe blow some compressed air over it?):earsboy:
