So how's the water?

As in, the water hookups at the campsites-is it good enough to drink? I'm assuming it's safe and potable, but taste-wise, do you recommend it, or should we stick with bottled water, for general purpose drinking, coffee, kool-aid/Crystal light?

The water is ok, but we do always have a filter on our hose before it enters our motorhome. We also always bring our own water from home for our coffee and drinking. We're spoiled - have excellent well water and I don't like to change.

In the parks we always get cups of water from the CS places and never have any problems with the taste - we're 'very' sensitive to the taste of chlorine as we don't have it at home. The 'only' place we will not get it is Casey's Corner - shouldn't taste different, but it does to us.

We bring a Brita for coffee and bottled water for drinking. It definitely tastes different than the water at home .

Also be aware that the water pressure is EXCELLENT to the point that you want to make sure you have a pressure regulator on your water line.

We always use a filter coming into the camper no matter where we are. Like North of Mouse, we have excellent well water where we live. We also use a Brita pitcher with filter and just fill a gallon jug for Coffee, ice tea, etc. :)

We always bring water from home for the pups. Bottled water for tea, coffee etc. Don't like drinking from a garden hose even though we have built in filter in the camper.

Actually we don't ever use a garden hose for our potable water. It's a special 'white' hose that is especially designated for potable use (like any other safe eating/drinking item). It's also kept clean accordingly. Also, in our case, being extra cautious, it's flushed occasionally with Chlorox for antibacterial purposes - as well as our tank and throughout the system.

Don't EVER drink the water from the Green Hose at the Disney Sites. That hose is frequently used for flushing the sewage system and pipes.

While I am not a "Phobic" person about germs, and have frequently drank from the hose at home, I never use the green hose at the campsites for potable use. I do have a white hose (actually 2) for the RV and I also use an in-line filter. I don't particularly care for the taste of the water in our RV after the system has been winterized with the RV Anti-freeze. When it's flushed out, it still seems to leave a residual taste, so we often times will just use bottled water. We have a new RV now, so I am hoping this storage system doesn't have a residual taste. Now when I winterize though, I Blow the lines out and do not use the RV Anti-freeze.
