So, how's the water anyway?

Inspired by the bottled water thread. How is the tap water at DLR? Is it sulfur-flavored-nasty like at WDW or is it OK to drink?

generally pretty nasty, but I either doctor it up with a Crystal Light single, or I get a cold filtered water refill from the Baby Station on Main St. or at the soda fountain in Rancho.

One word. Blech.
Of course when I am really thirsty, it is okay. ;) I have heard there is filtered good tasting water at the child changing station or something like that on Main St. Can someone else confirm and provide more details?

Speaking of gross water. . .

A couple of summers ago, we rode Splash three times in a row when DL first opened in the morning. I wore my Chacos. Some water splashed onto my feet. By 2:00, I had developed a horrible, oozing, crusty, itchy, cracking, bleeding rash on the top of my feet. . .but the skin under the sandal straps was perfectly clean. They looked like red scaly slimy feet from outer space, with the white strap lines from the Chacos perfectly delineated.

The water in DL is a different kind of deadly than WDW. Both are nasty, but WDW water has more of a chemical taste. I think if I HAD to choose, I'd take DL water over WDW's. BLECH! :p

I live in Sothern California. about 40% of our water comes from the Colorado River, another 30% from Sierra snowpack runoff, and 20% from underground aquifers. It has a mild chloriene taste aquired during the treatment process. Because of the taste we drink bottled water at home. However, it is MUCH better than WDW water (which to me has a "swampy" taste). Regardless of taste the Metropolitian Water district of Southern California consistently rates at the top nationally for water safety and quality. (Can you tell I read the stuff that comes with my water bill?)

After reading a few articles about the water fountains, i STRONGLY advise NOT TO DRINK IT, and buy water bottles.
