Are you more stressed or less?

Have you gotten everything you need to do done?

Anyone stranded due to the storms?

The closer the day gets, the more excited we're becoming here..:santa:

We have been doing some DIY which will be finished tomorrow, then I just need to do a little tidying and putting away in that room. Oh and then we can put the final Christmas tree up! Then I just need to finish wrapping the presents and one last dust, hoover and clean ready for guests staying. We have had a lot of snow here so I hope everyone can make it. The roads are clear until you get to our street, but I am confident all the family will make it!

STRESSED!!!! Tomorrow is my Nursing final, I feel like I am going to miss Christmas. After my final, gotta get my shopping finished, rush home to wrap, make the 2 hour drive to see the fam, 2 hour drive back, come home and sleep so I can work on Christmas. Humbug. This going back to school in your thirties is overrated. I think I have gained 10 lbs in the last few weeks.

I cannot seem to get any studying done, I am just burnt out. Im taking a break now and then right back at it. Someone bring me cookies. :goodvibes

I need to clean up the house and thats it. Finished all the baking and last minute stuff this weekend. DH has to work Christmas Eve :sad2: so I'll have the morning to get the house cleaned and start cooking for Christmas Eve dinner with my Dad.

I am getting excited. I can hardly wait for DH, DD, and my parents to open their gifts. There are surprises for them all and I really think they are going to love what I got them.

We are also leaving fro WDW this weekend. :cool1:

I'm done shopping and everything! Just need to wrap, but I can't do that until the last minute because our blue tick shreds anything paper-like left in the living room.

I have one last trip out to the stores tonight, some wrapping to be done, and some cleaning up and clearing out some old toys to make room for the new toys. We are sooo excited for Santa to come to our house!

We need to get the house together, do some baking of cookies, and finish wrapping presents and making blankets. On Christmas eve we have my family that will be coming over, eating dinner, exchanging gifts, visiting, and then after they leave we have to head out to my in laws and exchange gifts, eat more, etc. Then come home, and put the kids to bed. There isn't enough time in one day it feels!

Wrapping is done - but no bows in this house.. DD's cat eats them - on or off the packages.. LOL..

We'll will be ready after a trip to the grocery store tonight for our annual C'mas eve party :goodvibes. We don't even let 14" of white stuff stop us ;)!! Finished up baking today, wrapped again, cleaned, and ready for a wonderful family holiday together. Even makes it more special DH is feeling much better and on road to recovery, also both our NC families will be joining us for the week ! The pitter patter of grands galore :lovestruc... can't wait ! Now if we could only get DS home :guilty:.... that won't happen till Jan, so we pull our boot straps up and carry on!:goodvibes

the only thing left now is the turkey and mistletoe and wrapping the last of the presents...

but on another note the kids and I made a gingerbread tree. They are all older and I was surprised they still wanted to make one...and all my stepsons can do is ask if they can do things like "can I make the mac and cheese" and "can I make the icing" or "can I" or will you "show me how to" ..I love this, I'm showing them how to things - they even asked if I would wait to make the cookies till Christmas when they get back from their moms as they don't get to help doing things like that there and want to know how to do it and do it together :goodvibes

I even caught the oldest stepson doing the dishes :goodvibes:confused3

I asked my dd why he was doing the dishes - she said she didn't know and was confused too but hey my dishes are done :woohoo:

I had to brag sorry for hijacking :hippie:

4nana: I LOVE all the pictures in your signature, and I'm so glad to hear that your husband is feeling much better!:thumbsup2

Not too stressed here, just a heightened sense of excitement from everyone! Our son will be driving down from Nevada tomorrow and will be staying through Sunday. Our older daughter, son-in-law and grandson will be here Thursday through Saturday, and our youngest daughter, along with her kitty, is here from college. Actually, she is in and out a lot because she's only twenty minutes away from us anyway.:) And, my older daughter and grandson are coming up to spend the day tomorrow, too!:)

All the shopping and wrapping is done. Just a few more groceries to pick up. My biggest chore right now is sorting through the sheets and blankets, finding the right sizes for the right beds, deciding where everyone is going to sleep, who gets the inflatable beds, and where the beds are going! I think it'll just be a free-for-all or first come, first grab!

The next few days will be planning which meals for which days and some baking. Overall though, it's not that stressful. We have a lot of fun activities planned and we are all so excited to see Carter opening his presents because he is just old enough (almost 16 months) to get into the excitement of the holidays!

All done! I've booked my family tickets to go see The Lion King at London's West End :teeth:

That and some nice chocolates for them all :)

making one trip out early tomorrow morning for a few groceries. it's fun to be in the store and really not be desperate to buy anything but maybe finding something great on sale. have a little cooking to do later in the week but i'm ready.

all done....done shopping, wrapping, baking, and grocery shopping.
No one stranded....but then we are in AZ for the holiday,so it is nice out.

Just a couple of last minute gifts to wrap, but basically all done. The kids are here and Christmas has started:thumbsup2

Can I just say, this is our second winter in Arizona and we are LOVING the weather!:cool1: We have many relatives and friends back on the east coast that are dealing with this latest storm. We've had several friends ask if we have any spare rooms!:rotfl:

Just got back from WDW late Saturday night and spent all day yesterday food shopping and started our Christmas shopping. Since we were running around not knowing what to get anyone we called our families and told them not to buy us anything, to stop shopping for our boys-whatever they already bought would be good enough-and that starting next year we are done with all the gift giving for adults. It's always too much pressure and people end up just exchanging gift cards which is just silly. So Santa bought 4 gifts and he's done, except for wrapping them. This is the first year I haven't baked a single cookie or sent out a Christmas card but it was just too hectic with us being gone last week and getting our ds caught up with a weeks worth of homework and test studying. Since I didn't get to the cards I'll send out the smile box e-cards from hallmark which is awesome!

Hey - everyone has years like that here and there.. Life gets in the way and you just do the best you can.. Being together is the most important aspect of all, so it's "all good"..:santa:

We've got about 2 feet of snow here and that is seriously impeding our travel plans. We were supposed to go see my Dad in West Virginia (Harpers Ferry area) but they got dumped on too and haven't had a plow come by so I doubt we'll get in at all.

My MIL and her BF are snowed in here at my house and I cannot wait for them to leave. She smokes and smells horrible from the smoke, he's just psycho crazy (and just stunk up my bathroom and didn't light a match or anything.. I'm gonna hurl if the smell doesn't get better). I want them to leave now, please.
