So, How Many PIN Codes Have You Gotten Lately?

Now this is really weird.

On Sept 28 I got the Value PIN for Nov and Dec. Couldn't use it, oh well. Got another one like it on Sept 29. Still couldn't use it. Got a third one on Nov 11. Still, well, you know.

On Nov 16 I got the 20-30-40 PIN but the dates didn't work for us. I called to see that if we arrived on the last day of a block of dates if the rate could apply to the whole reservation. It doesn't, so I said thanks to the CM and said good-bye. She really wanted to price some other dates and said she was sorry she couldn't help me. I told her I'd talk to my wife about some of the applicable dates.

Today, you guessed it, another 20-30-40 PIN but the dates are still the same. The email referenced the dates I asked about on the phone and I didn't check the dates online at all. It would seem then that phoning and pricing some dates will also get you a PIN.

So, is it a bit weird to get 5 PINS in 3 months? Oh, and I'd never received one before Sept.

I agree it's strange, but it's given me hope. I got the Nov.-Dec. PIN TODAY of all days - way too late in the game to even think about using it! But maybe that means the 20-30-40 is soon to follow ... that would be great!

The best thing you can do when you get a pin e-mail or code, is call Disney and get pricing using the pin code. Even if you have no intention of using the pin code. Why so they know you are interested in using a pin code.....and they will keep sending them to you.

I just had success using the method I found in another thread. You go to the website and create a couple of packages and then save them without purchasing. A few days later I got an email from Disney Destinations that was basically that they had noticed I was looking at dates (even though we are already booked through AAA). In small print way down in the email was the pin code I'd been hoping for!

I got the 20-30-40, which will allow us to upgrade from preferred at a value to a moderate and actually end up saving a little money when you factor in the extra $$ we were going to pay in order to have a fridge in our room.

I so wish I could just give you one of ours, but they're not transferrable. Keep trying all the tips in this and the other threads, you never know. It does seem they are sending out tons of PINs right now.

1 AP pin with 1/2 of our days in January blacked out. For the first time in 15 years, we aren't going to renew our AP's.

We just received two pin codes for the 20, 30 and 40% for most of 2010. One I used this morning and we are hoping to be able to use the other one for another time. From what I can see the pin code doesn't expire but it is based on availability. Who cares where we stay just as long as we are in Disney.

I received 2-3 of the DDP (not QSDP) w/ a value stay for Oct thru Dec. I also recieved 2-3 of the $55/value, $69/mod for Nov & Dec. I have most recently received the 20-30-40, but only once so far. Although my family has about 5 e-mails registed with Disney (2 of mine, 1 DH, 1 DM and 1 DD) these have all come to the same account, but not at the same time. I don't know why they send the same code over and over again to the same people. Glitch in the system maybe?

My mom just got 2 in the last couple months. The first one was for dates thru June. The next one is for dates thru November or December 2010. I've never gotten a pin for my email...me, dh and family were going next year, my mom wasn't planning on going....so that's kind of disappointing as I'd love 40% off.

Same here! I sooo need a PIN code for my May trip. I've done everything I can think of: am registered on the WDW site, plus the AP site, have ordered the 2010 vacation planning DVD, the DVC DVD, have offers saved on the site, and have done the surveys. Still nada!

Maybe try phoning and pricing out a couple of stays. When I phoned recently, the CM was extremely careful to be sure she had my correct info, especially my email address.

We recieved 2 also, after the first as a previous poster said we called and asked if we could use the pin on the last day it was good and through the rest of our stay and she said we couldn't. I am a school teacher and Coach and can only go in a certain window that we can go. Then a few days later we received a second pin but only good to December. We are hoping for something else.

I got some from Disney Visa earlier this year that I couldn't use but nothing using the tips on disboards (signing up on the website, ordering maps, etc). I started almost 2 weeks ago but haven't gotten the maps and stuff, so maybe we'll get something in the mail (it does say it will take a few weeks). Getting DFiance to call today and see if we have any pins connected with our name.
