So, how good is Flame Tree Barbecue?

I think that FTBBQ is a great place. Both their ribs and chicken are pretty good, and it's really a large amount of food. I usually like to go follow the trails down to their outdoor seating...there's this place right by the water that has a great view of the trains going up the lift on EE.

As someone who lives in KC, it is surprisingly good.

Usually, when CS talks about BBQ, they mean those sloppy joe like sandwiches that taste like .

But, this is probably about as close as you can get to BBQ without living in KC, Texas, Memphis, or NC.

Good in 2006 and 2007, but in 2008 very long wait and extremly dry ribs. Worst meal of our 7 day trip on free dining.

Its a nice option for a CS instead of the regular burger and fries but I didnt think it was anything spectacular

I didn't think most Disney food was that great, but really liked Flame Tree. We ate there during free dining & plan on going back this year I had the ribs, DS12 had the huge smoked turkey sandwich & DD18 had an awesome fruit plate.

Oooh, we were thinking about going here and using a CS credit. It looks like some different items than many of the other CS places. I'm glad the reviews are pretty good.

It was better when they had the chicken breast sandwich, which has been discontinued. I do the salad with chicken now.

But I still go for the onion rings and spicy barbecue sauce.

We have had CS at Flametree, Yak and Yeti and Pizzafari. We enjoyed each one. To be honest I couldn't recommend one over they other, they were each very good. The advantage to Pizzafari was that it was a hot day and we ate inside in the AC. But I agree that the outside dining at Flametree is very nice.

It's one of our most favorite places to eat. Unfortunately, the day we're going to AK is the same day we have the HoopDeeDoo show and we want to save a meal credit so we're skipping it this trip (but ONLY for this trip). But, if you like bbq (and real bbq), this is a place to go!!!!!!!!!

We make sure to eat here every trip. The hubby loves the ribs. I like them, but I'm not a huge bbq/rib fan. I've vowed to try something different this time.

The views at the seating areas are fantastic as well.

We enjoyed it. I had onion rings and the chicken with a corn muffin & beans. I did not like the fact that the seating area was outside though...those birds sure were pesky!

It is not my favorite CS BBQ in Florida, Zambia Smokehouse at Busch Gardens Tampa has it beat easily. It is probably the best CS BBQ at Disney though.

We LOVE flametree!!! We go there every year. Its amazing...I cannot wait until September just for flametree!!!!

Sorry, I really wanted to love my ribs, they were beautiful. But....they were very tough and I could hardly eat them. I wish they would have been as tender as the ones I had at HoopDeeDoo because I love dry rub bbq but no such luck.

if you compare to wdw cs, it is very good!

I completely agree. Don't let them tell you that they have REAL sweet tea. If you are Southern, you will be insulted by such an insinuation.

Other than that, okay BBQ- great QS for WDW.

I don't like Flame Tree either. I had the rotisserie chicken and thought it was a little slimy. I wasn't impressed with the sides either.

We don't do AK anymore so I don't have to worry about eating there.

Is the corn muffin still off the menu? I would go there just for that! Yum! I honestly remember how good that was more than I do how the meat tasted. I assume it was good b/c I ate it. I also liked the beans. You used to be able to get onion rings for a snack credit, but not anymore. I thought the birds were annoying too, and they really freaked out my dds b/c they weren't exactly shy little things.
