So, how good is Flame Tree Barbecue?

We are going to be in AK on Sunday and I had wanted to try Yak and Yeti, but for the sake of being more economical, we were thinking of Flame Tree Barbecue. It seems to be well-loved... anyone wanna confirm?

I've had the ribs a few times, and they are as good as what you'd get at a real restaurant, certainly much better than at Chili's.

That is definitely encouraging -- the ribs is what I had my eye on! I loooove me some good bbq!

I love them, personally -- right up there with the better BBQ I can recall having (though the appetite might simply be whetted from walking around in the sun all day...)

We're giving them a pass on this trip, though sad1 in our quest to try places we haven't been to before (and a likelihood of skipping lunch on our AK day due to an early dinner).

I don't care for ribs, but my husband and son loved them. I love the turkey sandwich they have--one of those places where Disney meets healthy!! I find that a nice alternative.

I love their salad with chicken, they do a great job of mixing it all together instead of just dumping chicken on the top. Perfect on a hot day!

we like it a lot. We like dry rub on our ribs though. This past trip, DH got FT, while I got Yak n Yeti! Maybe hit them both and share a meal.

I have never gotten the salad, but that is good to know, I like mine mixed well.

Maybe I'm the minority, but I did not find Flame Tree very good at all. Maybe I caught them on a bad day, but Ribs I had were very fatty and DH had chicken and did not like it at all. Best CS meal we've had at AK is Pizzafari where we split the Chicken Caesar salad and the Hot Italian Sandwich.

We like Flame Tree and have eaten there every trip we've made to AK...my DH loves the ribs and I like the chicken - nice and flavorful. Their onion rings are VERY good and their cornbread is nice and sweet - almost like corncake if you like that kind of thing. And one thing most people don't realize is that you can ask them for butter for the cornbread at the counter - they just don't keep it out in the sun...

We like Flame Tree's food but the atmosphere of the seating is another plus for us - very nice plush landscaping on different terraces - nice and relaxing in the shade and a great view of EE.

Love Flame Tree BBQ! We usually get the pulled pork or pulled beef sandwiches, they're excellent.

It has THE BEST BBQ on the list of all the CS restaurants in Disney I think. Of course I've only visited WDW once but anywhere else I had BBQ ribs was NOT NEARLY as loved as these for a CS credit!! We went back TWICE even though going there was only once on our list of things to do. The other CS credit meal we had that was WELL LOVED was at Wolfgang's Express. I don't know if they do CS anymore but they were awesome in 2007!!

I'm sure you will like it (FT BBQ) if you like BBQ'd food!!

We eat at Flame Tree EVERY year! We will even be on the DxDDP this year and are going to pay oop for our meal at Flame Tree. DH absoutely loves it, and the bbq sauce is very good!

Beautiful and relaxing seating as well.
