So Hillary, How about those papers?

I open every post the OP starts. I think she keeps people on their toes. Her knowledge is endless. I'm glad she puts the information out there. People need to open their eyes.

In a throw it against the wall see what sticks kinda way.;)

Dawn, I believe Hillary should release the papers in question and I'm all for a open and honest Government. I don't like secrets like this and no good comes out of incidents like this.

I also believe you should hold the current administration to the same standards. I think we all seen way too many times the Bush administration pull the same tactics. Remember Cheney and his secret meetings of various energy company's CEO's? I remember the administration not wanting to give out the names of the people who were attendance and the lawsuits that were filed by watch dog groups. I was disappointed by that level of secrecy and politicians are like children, they need to be watched carefully and kept in the open or bad things can happen.

You got to hold them to the same standards, Dawn, or you risk coming across as a hypocrite and a political hack. Now, I'm not trying to mean or rude to you and just want to point out the reality of the situation. You have started 3 other Hillary threads and people here are watching you, so far you haven't disappointed them.

"I can let go trying to keep a sexual tryst quiet easier than I can let go of the reason for outing Valerie Plame."

I don't understand how people cannot get this..though someone here will quickly point out, erroneously, that Plame was not covert. She was folks.

Of course she was. George Tenet holds her in the highest regard, to this day.

I was once as you are now, my friend. But for whatever reason, one day I started to dig a little deeper and look under a few rocks. I started watching more than one news network and reading more than one newspaper. I started deliberately listening to people that I didn't agree with, and clicking on the websites and information they provided to support their positions. I started looking for source documents instead of editorials. It was a lot of work, and sometimes I'm sorry I did it because I would be much less disillusioned and disappointed with the leaders I helped choose if I hadn't.

A while back I would have disagreed with you, but I saw the CIA give testimony in front of Congress on TV and they themselves, said she was covert. How much more conformation do you need than that?

To me, that ended all speculation and debate on the subject, regardless of how I felt about the situation or who I supported. I don't believe in ignoring the truth when it becomes inconvenient.

IT(heathcare) WILL BE BACK!:lmao:

But shouldnt all the other candidates be asked the same questions. And her papers on health care should be viewed, but thats it!:confused3

What about Mitt Romney papers on healthcare in Mass?

What about Guiliani papers regarding the denial of a NYC Inter department Communication system that would have saved many lives on 9/11. Or his wacky descion to put the Command Center in what was always known as Ground Zero?

What about Fred Thompsons old scripts from Law & Order...maybe he wrote some notes on them?

Just askin?:confused3
:rotfl: :rotfl:

You obviously haven't heard Boston's Mayor Menino. Now there's a democrat who makes up words and sentences.

True, but I don't really care for most politicians that come out of Mass. I love the state, but it seems every politician that makes it to the news from that state is a total goof. That goes for democrats and republicans.

So all the people that agree with Dawns politics, philosophys and beliefs find her smart refreshing, fact finding and informative.

All the people that dont find her copy and pasting many web sites of like minded politics, beliefs and philosphys that mirror hers.

Somewhere in the middle is the truth.

Dawn, this is no insult on your intelligence please dont take it that way, not ment that way at all. I think you are very bright, just dont agree with some of your thoughts and politics :)

You are comparing executive privilege to Hillary's situation. Hillary only thought she was co-president. That position doesn't exist. She was first lady only. In addition, neither Bush nor Cheney are running for office. That is the reality of the situation.

Of course she was. George Tenet holds her in the highest regard, to this day.

I think they both belong to the "Mutual Admiration Society". Lets not forget, it was Richard Armitage that outed the "not so covert" Valerie Plame and Valerie herself who chose the "route of a cover girl" on Vanity Faire to 'fight back'....all the way to the bank now it seems. Joe Wilson and Plame have both been discredited and I am too bored with them to rehash it.

And that's why you and I are sitting where we are in this whole situation and others are still trying to support the administration in all things.

I meant what I said to Tomader-I was once as they are now. I bought it all and it would be much easier if I could still do that, but I really can't.

I CAN understand a couple trying to cover up the details of marital infidelity-it happens every day to far less famous couples all over the country-but in the end it was the Clinton family themselves who were most affected by the whole scene.
To blow the cover of a covert agent to get her husband to stop speaking out against the war is a whole 'nother thing in my mind.

Nothing ever goes both ways for you.

Drudge usually isn't very sticky. ;)

I may regret saying this....but the Drudge site isn't all that bad. It is a compendium of multiple links to multiple sites. Of course frequently his links are pretty slanted (not balanced) but that is ok. I would hope that folks seek varied information and when stuff doesn't pass the stink test, they question it. But that speaks to character of the reader, not the site. What I have a problem with is some of his personal reports are blatently false pieces of crap that he doesn't care about retracting, even after there is clear undisputable evidence that his inside sources were lying sacks of poop.

It still looks bad whoever does it and sets a negative tone. When you see watchdog groups having to file lawsuits to see who was at that "energy meeting/luncheon" it raises suspicion and doubts. I doubt you will be using or liking the term "executive privilege" when Hillary has some secret meetings/luncheon with a left wing based group you don't like. That's why you have to watch them all, regardless of who's in the WH. I'm not asking for secrets on national security, but a list of donors, lobbyists and groups that can influence and have an interest on passing laws that effect us all. Whether it's CEO's of Exxon and Nicor or the Sierra Club and Chinese business men, I want to know who's got access and why. A open Government leads to fairly honnest Government.

All by his little ol' self? Give me a break!

And you're "too bored" only because you lost the argument back then and you would loose it again today.

Oh, he'll have a legitimate link from time to time to attempt credibility. That's why I said "usually".
