changed the way you feel or felt about SSR? Or do you think it still needs more to become a must have? I love it anyway but each enhancement makes me feel so glad to have it my home. :cool1:

Its just another piece of the puzzle.I can see The Grandstand becoming a very popular section. But we have been very happy with SSR from the start.

Same here we liked it from the start so this is just more options for us.

Now we will try the others but if not no big deal.

My only complaint from the start, and is still unclear to me, is the plan for a formal restaurant.

I have been away from the boards for a while. Is there any word on a nice restaurant at SSR? :smokin:

The Turf Club opened this past summer. We ate dinner there the first of August and were very, very impressed with the quality of the food, the atmosphere, and the CM wait staff. We actually met my BIL and his GF (they were staying off site) and they could not get over how nice Turf Club & SSR was.

That's good to hear. Do you recall what type of menu was offered? Was it steak and lobster, or more burgers and chicken sandwiches?
I really enjoy both types of menus, but I'm hoping for something more on the steak and lobster side at SSR. Amongst many factors I think the more formal restaurant fits the SSR theme.

Thanx! :smokin:

The menu is on Deb Wills site at allearsnet.com

We Just got back from SS and actually ate at the Turf Club twice. It was very good..some of the different things we had were
Appetizers..crab cake bites, onion rings with dipping sauces( i LOVE onion rings..lol)salad
Entrees..they had steak, burgers, chicken sandwiches, pasta with grilled chicken, sundried tomatoes, spnach and olives.
It was very good and our waiter was Rudi (both times), he was AWESOME!!! Whenever he came to the table we would chant Rudi, Rudi..like from the movie Rudy..lol he thought it was funny.

It is a very nice addition, great views and a nice atmosphere. Menu at this time is limited, the chef told us there are plans to expand it, but what they have is very good.

I've never had any issues with SSR. I think the enhancements will only make it better. We are glad to have it as out Home Resort.

Ok, I haven't been "home" since January, and don't visit this board very often. What enhancements have been happening? Besides Turf Club. I did hear about that one.

How exciting!

So have the new enhancements at SSR changed the way you feel or felt about SSR?

Yes.. I think that I will love it even more! :cheer2:

I liked SSR from the start so all the rest is just gravy. :thumbsup2

Ditto!

The new enhancements will only make it harder for us to choose the other DVC's. We really like them all, but for shorter stays. Longer stays, we prefer not to move so we choose SSR.

We stayed at SSR before any enhancements and we liked it just fine, so the enhancements will just be icing on the cake.

I hope it attracts some people from the main theme pool which is too small for the size of the resort.

I just came back from a short on a whim trip and am so glad that I did. I was able to have my first ever DVC trip be to my home resort SSR. And I truly fell in love with SSR and can't wait til everything is completed. What construction I did see made me very excited, so I agree the enhancements are going to make this the premier DVC resort especially as time keeps ticking away on the others.

Also this trip validated me in so many ways that buying into DVC was the right decision for my little family. And I have SSR to thank for that.......

I definitely think that the improvements will bring more people to SSR. I for one would go back just to see them when they are finished.
