I agree wholeheartedly Dan! As a very recent former lurker I've read a lot of posts through the years & know how the people here are like family. DIS is a place where people can laugh, cry, whine, complain, offer/receive advice on everything from potty training to the perfect place to propose! There's no place on the net quite like it. And of course you're one of the people who always has something positive & uplifting to say, and I appreciate you.

A couple of weeks ago there were some posts here that made me think I might just stop posting here for good. Some days I get tired of people being so volatile, I get enough of that in the real world.

But then something tragic like this happens and it reminds me just how precious this community is to me. I've known Rajah since the very beginning of the DIS, and I cherish her like a little sister. I am so devastated over her tragic news, and I keep coming here hoping that she will be here so I can envelope her in virtual hugs, because I care so much about her and what happens to her.

Its sad that it takes a tragedy to remind us of the fact that this is a really wonderful community. When the chips are down, people will rally, I have seen it happen so many times. Its a wonderful testimony to the kindness of strangers, and the overall goodness that exists in people.

How true Dan. I know I have never met anyone from the DIS, but I have many friends I've made here. The support and the willingness to extend their hand to you in friendship is unbelievable. The people of the DIS are an amazing group. My hat goes off to you,my friend, and all the wonderful people on this board.

I am one who found these boards quite by accident. I originally just joined to help me plan for my trip to the World last August. By chance I stumbled onto the CB. I have not been the same since!! The people here constantly amaze me, and yes, while there are moments when it's not so fun, it truly is a community of people, most who have never even met, who genuinely care about each other. The kicker is, I found the CB when I needed it the most. Now I cannot imagine my life without it.

I have all of you to thank for that.
