So! Finally the answer to what "Are you 23?" means

I just did it and was able to submit my email address......

It's 9:26am Atlantic time for me....

It finally worked for me, after like 12 or more tries. Must be busy (but Disney should have expected that)

8:36am here in NJ and I was able to go on, put in my email address and was able to submit. We will be down the end of March for my DH's birthday.

Thanks,
Linda

Even if you don't submit your address (that is, after all, just a ploy for Disney to get your email address AGAIN) you will still be able to join the club by going to disney.com/d23 as of March 10. Hard advertising shows that as the web address for the "club".

Just FYI.

What does the 23 signify?

I guess (or I hope) we'll figure that out a week from tomorrow. Unless it's just a random name for the "club" and has no real significance besides what all the speculators are guessing.

D23
Huh? I wonder....
:confused3

$23 a month to be member?
23 events a year?
23 special vacations to choose from?
Pixar has been around 23 years this year?
23 animated classics on Blu-Ray in a boxed set
In celebration of the company's year of creation, 1923
a quote from another site "An Imagineer once told me, you are only as old as the sum of numbers in your age. In the year of Birthday Celebrations, 23 may represent 2+3=5. The number 5 may represent a construction announcement for the 5th theme park at Walt Disney World in Orlando."

any other guesses?

Most 'logical' reason: The Walt Disney Company was founded in 1923. Like how it's trendy for all the trendy clothing companies to put their year of creation on the clothing.

I can only suspect Vault 28 at Disneyland is so named for Steamboat Willie.

:lmao: I just turned 24 on Saturday. When I saw it I said, "If it's something that they want you to be 23 when it launches, oooooooo I'm going to be ticked." ...I would have only missed it by what, 10 days? if that were the case!!

Gee, once there was a cool thing called Magic Kingdom Club where you got discounts and merchandise opportunities... until they outsourced it to a credit card company which may or may not approve you for "membership"

/not bitter
/much

If they had said "Are you 33" I would be in.
March 10 is my 33rd B-day. Cant wait for my present from Disney! :yay:

Hmm....I'm not sure what the 23 could possibly be, but I still entered my e-mail! I'm hoping for good things!

I'm pretty sure its because of me. I was born on the 23rd and 23 has always been my favorite number.

For those trying to submit - the submit button didn't work in Firefox, I had to use Internet Explorer. Could this be why it isn't working for you as well? I find all of the Disney sites work better with IE than with Firefox.

Yes, I use Firefox. And I couldn't get it to click on Submit. However, when I went to click on the Help button, it then said my email address had been successfully submitted.

Firefox doesn't work for scheduling golf tee times at all, I found out.

I just hate IE, and almost everything about it.

I know this could be a stretch, but could 23 have anything to do with Club 33 in Disneyland? I don't know what it could be but that was the first thing to pop into my mind.

It's a reference to 1923, the year that the Disney Brothers Studio (later renamed the Walt Disney Company) was founded. :)
