So, Disney Dining laughed at me today...

We just decided to head down to WDW during the last week of October-first couple days of November.

I decided that I should probably make some dining reservations for the trip, and while we were not planning on doing any character dining or eating at any "signature-type" restaurants, I was fully expecting to have to be very flexible with my times.

Well, by the time I got to dining reservation number 5, Emilio (the CM) kind of chuckled. I thought, well, that can't be good news. But he then said, "Oh, I'm sorry. It's just that you're the first person in a long time that's gotten every single dining reservation at every single time that he's wanted."

I told him, "Well...I'm a little surprised, too. I figured I was going to have to change some things around."

Every single time I wanted and every single restaurant I wanted...

So, this is kind of a motivational post for those of you who think you won't get the reservations you want. Keep trying and you just might be surprised!

That's awesome. Glad it worked out well. We just found out my mom is coming in December. I'm not looking forward to changing 20 ADRs to add one more person.

I also got all the places and times I wanted for dec....I even called last week and got california grill .we are going to ohana,kona,1900 park fare am and pm and california grill.

That's great! I have had great luck with walk ups on my previous trips. I know that is a chance that most people don't want to take, but it has worked out pretty well for me.:)

I had good luck making reservations for my sister's visit in November but sadly having horrible luck getting reservations for my cousins visit next week. I've been trying for months.

That's kind of funny. We just came back from Labor Day weekend and make no reservations at all. While we were at Animal Kingdom on Saturday afternoon, my husband and I decide to have an early lunch at Sci Fi the next day. While he rode Expedition Everest, I made the phone call. We got in for 11:05 with no problems. When we got there, a person in front of us was trying to get in for either lunch or dinner but they were all booked for the rest of the day.

You just never know.

We are normally there the last week of September. I always make reservations for Liberty Tree Tavern the evening of our arrival (tradition) and I usually make reservations for Sci Fi lunch time as we have had a difficult time there as walk -ups. Other than that we generally wing it and have had success that way

We are going that same timeframe and I got all the adrs I wanted for a party of 6. I called about a month ago.

our ADRs are at Jiko, Artist Point, Marrakesh, California Grill, Crystal Palace (breakfast), OHana (breakfast), Rose and Crown, 50's Prime Time, Chefs de France, and BlueZoo.

Hopefully our good fortune means it won't be crowded. ;)

This gives me hope. We just booked a trip for Oct 30 - Nov 2nd and I'm about to call for some adrs. Good to hear some are still available.

Ohh goodie! that's the week we're going so hopefully that means it won't be crowded - or people just aren't eating. :lmao: I had a few places I didn't make ADR's at so maybe I'll change mine around since there is so much flexibility going on that week. Thanks! :thumbsup2

That's great!

I have usually been able to get all my adrs at the dates and times I wanted. But then again, I call at the earliest possible time. I wait until 6 mths and 10 days from the last reservation I want and I call for all of it.

I guess he was a little surprised since it's only 2 mths away. ;)
