DS is 4 and we took our first trip together as a family in Sept. this year. We lived in Tampa from 2003-2006 and had gone to Disney a few times before DS was born. I had soooooo much fun and could'nt get enough, however, DH could go once every 2 years and be fine with it. DH is in the guard and back then all military and dependants got 5 days parker hopper FREE and it was great. I noticed on this past trip, DH REALLY had a great time! He loved the food and atmosphere so much. It was like I was seeing a totally different side to him and it was great! He's a pilot and is pretty serious for the most part, but I knew was "gettin" bitten by the "Disney Bug" when he wanted to take a tour of BLT with the DVC rep while on our trip! Less than a month after we returned we are now DVC owners at BLT. However, the one thing that made me believe he was "crossing over"..... we were at Target last night and he took DS over to the children's clothing Department... I asked him what he was doing (I noticed he was taking DS over to the height chart) .... he replied "Making sure he's tall enough to ride Space Mountain in Dec. when we go!" So CUTE and so unexpected!! I *heart* my husband!

Awwwwwww, that is just awesome! I'm very happy for you that your husband is seeing the light. When I first met my partner, she wasn't so into Disney, but then I went with my daughter and mother and she was jealous of all the happy text messages and pictures! Now we're going on November 14th and she actually seems more excited than I am! So I completely know how you feel. It's wonderful when your other half gets bitten by the Disney bug!

Off topic, but your son is utterly adorable! That is one of the cutest faces I've ever seen! I hope he gets to ride Space Mountain in December!

So glad your DH is coming around! We are in the exact same situation as your family.

DH liked Disney "okay" when we were dating/no kids. He said he'd be fine going once every 5 or 6 years! After our last trip to Beach Club Villas in September, though, he came home and, within days, started planning our next trip online.

We stayed at mostly moderates in the past, but after staying at Beach Club Villas, he has now told me that he only wants to stay at another deluxe, probably the Poly! Music to my ears!

Now, if only I could sucker him into buying DVC...like your husband...I'd be set!!

LOL! Yes, it IS great that he's seeing things in the "Disney way" Congrat's on your partner joining you as well! Thanks for the sweet compliment on my baby too!

LOL! At least your husband started planning it on his own.... I had to do it! LOL! Of course, I really would'nt have it any other way! Thanks to the Dis, I feel like a travel agent. This place has been a total blessing. I had no idea about ADR's, podcasts, all of the great restaurants, the characters, until I joined this place! Hey, did your DH take the tour with the DVC guide? That's pretty much what did it for him! We came back home from our trip and talked about it but DH was really impressed with the tour and really liked our guide.
