I was reading that the whole Wonders of Life pavilion closed in 2004. But, some of the attractions open occasionally. Why?? My family and I loved Cranium Command. I was really looking forward to taking my son to see it for the first time. It was always busy when we went. :confused3 :guilty:

The building and attractions inside it are still there. They're just not open. I think the last time they opened was between Christmas 2004 - NYE 2004.

We were lucky we got to see it on 12/31/2004 because it had been ages since I'd seen it, DH doesn't remember it at all and the kids had never seen it.

I really think it's going the way of the dinosaur, and I'm really :(

New maps of Epcot have taken Wonders of Life off the map (the building is still on the map, but the name is nowhere to be found). It's a shame...I'll miss Cranium Command and riding those bikes through Disneyland.

Disney came out about a year ago and stated that the characters in CC were getting a little long in the tooth and that today's kids have no idea who Hanz & Franz or Norm from Cheers are anymore, so the attraction has kind of lost it appeal. I hope they put something great in it's place!

I have a feeling they'll be doing something to it before 2007 - either demolishing and building an entirely new attraction, or keeping the building and rehabbing the inside like they did with the Land.

Why do I think that? Well... 2007 marks Epcot's 25th anniversary and you can bet Disney will do something to celebrate. They still have 2 years to do something about it before October 1st.

While I totally agree with this, I'll miss Cranium Command. It was one of my favorite attractions in all of WDW.

I barely remmeber Cranium Command, the last time I was @ WDW was about 11 yrs ago.. But as you can see I have a trip planned.

What happened to my Signature... hmmm I'll have to look into this... :magnify:

I was very sad when DM and I took a walk over and saw a big CLOSED sign in front of Wonders of Life :( I also loved Cranium Command, but I do agree that most kids today would completely miss the references. I hope that they redo the building and update CC, since I would hate to see such a cute/funny attraction just disappear.....

Speaking as a single guy with no kids, and a child of the 80s, I say PHOOEY! on the idea that anything not kid-friendly needs to be removed, BAH! HUMBUG! to the idea that anything more than 5 years old is out of date and needs to be removed, and INCONCIEVABLE! to the notion that anything built on that land would be better than Cranium Command.

Even if you don't know who Hans and Franz are, even if you don't recognize George Wendt, Bobcat Goldthwait, or Charles Grodin, and even if you are too young to remember when George Bush was president - no, the other one - any kid on the cusp of adolescence can easily understand the broad slapstick humor and the familiar situations that occur in Cranium Command. And enjoy them.

You're just DIEIN' to pilot this chicken, aren't ya boy?!

They were both there and open when we went in March 2005. As for Body Wars, they can do as they please with it, it's the only ride that made me feel sick at WDW. Cranium Command was something we all enjoyed. My kids, even though they don't know those characters, found them to be funny. I think they also thought the "old dorky clothes" (80's wear) were funny.

So, what's going on with Wonders of Life now? Anyone been recently? I'm trying to plan our trip and would love to know if Body Wars, Cranium Command, The Making of Me, and Fitness Fairground are open.

I won't miss Body Wars in the least. It's the only ride in all of WDW that makes me sick to my stomach. I say - bu-bye Body Wars! ;)

I hope that whatever they decide to put in there, they do something that us non-thrill riders would enjoy, I still miss the original Horizons and World of Motion!!!

Those were the two best rides in Future World, but you left out the ORIGINAL Journey into the Imagination. What they call Journey now is heartbreaking.:(

My DS13 has just started watching Cheers reruns. and really enjoys them. The place my kids were looking forward to was the Cooling Station and sampling the different Cokes from around the world.
