So confused about photo pass?

Thanks for the thread. I have a question. When I bought Memory Maker I was told I needed to go to Will Call at the park to pick up my MM Welcome Packet. What's in the packet and do I need it? If I need it, do i need to get it at the beginning of my first day? If no one knows, do you have the phone number to Memory Maker so I can find out? I really appreciate it!

Hi! I was told this same information, but you do not need to pick up anything at will call. Just make sure your magic band is linked to the purchase on MDE. I wasted 45 min in the WC line last week for nothing. You can begin scanning your MB when you enter the gate. I highly recommend stopping into the photopass centers periodically to make sure its working properly. The CM at the photopass places are way more helpful than will call. Have a great trip!

I was off-site, so I had to get my tickets and mm card at the ticket window anyway, but the CM just gave me all my tickets and the MM card and explained how it worked. The entire process took all but 5 minutes max and we were on our way. I suspect that if you have your MB and have already linked your MM to your MDE, you don't need to pick anything up. The photog will just scan your band and you're good to go.

So I understand that ride photos can only be scanned on the MB for the person that owns the MM account. What about general photos taken by the photopass photographers? If my group separates can they have the pictures scanned on to their MB? Our MBs are already linked in MDX. Thanks!

Nah, it can take longer than that. Photos are moderated before they are allowed to post so it can take up to 24 hours for the mTo appear.

I do know that last November, in Animal Kingdom, we had the photographer load the pix he'd just taken onto our MB, and when I checked my phone less than half hour later just for the hell of it, the pix were all there.

If I don't need to visit Will Call, why do I have a Ticket Order confirmation that says I MUST visit Will Call with my ID, credit card, and confirmation number? Grrrr... I don't have time for that! My MM # is linked to my Magic Band according to MDE.

Yes, as long as your bands are linked it should work. I was there last week and we split up and my hubby scanned his band for ride photos that showed up in my account. Also, my sister was using a photopass card because she didnt have MBs and all I had to do was add the photopass number to my account and it downloaded the pics from her card.

I didn't entirely trust the system so I stopped by the photopass place and scanned each band to be sure. At the end of the week, we all had the 239 photos on each one.

We haven't done MM but we did Photopass last time (regular, not +) and loved it. Can't speak to the logistics of using MB's but we did take full advantage of all the photos we could get and ended up with 300 photos, most of our whole family which we loved. No asking someone else to take our photo with our own camera and no "mommy's not in any of the pictures". I always make photo books after our trips (not on their website but another one) and a good majority of the pics I used were our Photopass photos.

How long does this work for? We have a 1 night on site stay but then will be off site for an additional 2 weeks. Will I be able to use this the entire time?

We were at WDW last week for just 2 park days. I didn't buy the MM but wish I had! We have over 60 photos. Question: the photopass archive cd is 10% off through Sunday the 11th. Is it usually discounted some? I don't know if I should buy it now or wait for a better discount.
