So Cal park hopper upgradable?

I did a search and didn't find exactly what I was looking for so . . . has anyone not from So. Cal upgraded the So. Cal $99 park hoppers to an AP? I know someone that only used two of the three days on their passes and we could use the other day but we need to upgrade for APs and we are from Utah. Should I bother with trying to do that or just get them from the Disney site? Since we are upgrading it really doesn't matter what base price we get and we will only be there for one MM day so GAT isn't really any better than disney.com for us.

You know what I've just decided I'm going to buy them from the Disney site. That way I have no guilt or worries.

I was just coming here to ask that very same question! We want to go on a couple of blocked out days, then upgrade to the So Cal AP. Just wondering if we could do that? I thought it would save us the blockout fee for both days. Has anybody done this yet? TIA!!

I know you can upgrade any ticket as long as your a so cal resident. since the price is so,cheap i doubt you will get much credit if any on a ap : i'm thinking if your lucky 30 bucks credit.

if you use the pass on the first day Friday and saturday you upgrade, they can't block you out on the day you buy an ap. if i remember correctly. and sunday is usually not a blackout day unless some holiday is accruing. i hope that helped. you can always call them to double check.

yeah, unfortunately they check your id and input it in the system so. if you don't have a ca id it's not gonna work.

You should get $99 credit towards a SoCal AP.

Just an FYI for anyone thinking of upgrading to an AP from someone elses ticket . . . We upgraded from 3 day park hoppers we bought at disney.com and were asked multiple questions on how we had used the tickets. They wanted to know things like when we had first used them (time of day ect), what we had done the next day ect. They were verifying that they were in fact our tickets and not some we had found or gotten half used.
