so walking down an empty main street for an early breakfast ADR is a family tradition of ours, which is very important to me, I think it really just adds to the magic. well, when the december hours changed by 8am breakfast is no longer prior to park opening. I am just heartbroken!

I know that you all can relate, so just venting! I know there is no chance at moving it to a day where MK still opens at 9, our vacation just won't be the same.

I would try moving the adr either to a slightly earlier time (so you get in a wee bit before everyone else even if only by 15mins or so) or ask if they could change the day. Just explain why its so important to you and keep your fingers crossed! I'll keep mine crossed too

That happened to us. We were disappointed as well. The bright spot was that we could enjoy breakfast instead of rushing through to get out for rope drop.

If your ADR is 8am then can't you enter the park 15-20 minutes before your ADR in order to get checked in at the restaurant on time? This would give you time before RD and your ADR to stroll down the empty Main Street.
