You had better stock up if you invite glitterkittyy over. Oh yes, and hide your guest towels.

Guest soaps.

I'm a guest. So I can take them, right?

They were cute but only smelled so-so.

Is it proper to take just one or was it okay for me to take the whole tray of them?

At a hotel yes, someone's house no.

If it were allowed, I would so pack soap and guest towels in my purse.

But it is ok to let your child take the guest soap right... You wouldn't want to tell John or Jane no, it might scar them; and if the person in the bathroom before your child already took the soap, then they must be inconsiderate, and rude

It's like you're reading my thoughts.

Scary.

:scared:

Soaps are for using, not for taking.

I haven't read all of the posts on this thread, but I'd make the guests bring their own soap and towels, then they can take them home after they use them and then you won't have all those little so-so smelly things lying around your house.

Unless you're the guest, then take all you want. Your hosts probably snagged 'em all from a few hotels anyhow.
