I ordered some Snuggies a while back. (For those who aren't familiar with the Snuggie it's essentially a big, soft blanket with sleeves!) My kids LOVE them! Esp. my 9 yr. old ADHD son. The Snuggies are Ginourmous on them, but the love that. Heck I love mine too! Finally my arms don't get cold when I'm reading on the couch. :-)

That sounds really nice right now!!! Spring has not yet sprung and everyone at our house is bundled up with blankets and sweats.

That's funny because my son sees them on TV and desperately wants one. Amybe I should bite the bullet and get him one. I had to drag the King size electric blanket out tonight and sit under it with him on the sofa because I was so clod. It was in the 60 and 70's for alomst 2 weeks and then it snowed last night. I'm ready for Spring.:worship:

it is a sensory issue and will be good for him.

hugs and chocolates

Yeah he wants something good for him instead of guns and blasting powder.:lmao:

Isn't a snuggie just a backwards bathrobe?

My DH surprised me and ordered me these. They came this week and my 2 younger kids came down with a bug this week. They loved being curled up in them while they weren't feeling good. They are quite nice. I think he is wishing he had ordered them for all of us, maybe we still will...

I saw these in Bed, Bath, & Beyond :thumbsup2

I love my electric lap blanket otherwise I would had to have one of these;)

So, kind of a hybrid between a polar fleece blanket and a backwards bathrobe. Now I get it!

One question - what's the back like, does it button up or anything?

The back is just open, but big enough to wrap around you. My mother and I bought them and just LOVE them. You will find us wrapped up in them at night and on the weekends when we are having a lazy type morning.

We bought ours at Bed, Bath and Beyond for the same price as on TV, but no shipping. You even get the book light with them.

They are big enough to wrap around most people. Some of the more "pooh sized" folks (like me'self) may have a little more problem with it. Also most averagely hieghted folks will have no problem with making sure their feet are covered. One of my pals is 6'7" and she can't cover her feet with the Snuggie. I hope they make an extra big/long one someday.

Your tall friend could probably go the the fabric store and get some fleece and make a long one - are the openings for the hands just slits, or sleeves? If they are slits, that's easy enough, as fleece doesn't even have to be sewn when cut, it doesn't fray or unravel.

They're actually sleeves. They're meant so that you can do things like read a book, use the remote, or drink a cup of coffe or what have you without your arms getting chilly.
