Snuba?

I seem to have seen somewhere on this board a reference to SNUBA on the Western Cruise.

Does anyone have the link and which Island it was on?

Snuba info can be found by typing snuba into your Google search engine. Then you will have to pick the location since they do it in a few spots. It's easy to find . It looked like great (if a little pricey) fun! Have a blast!

My family did the Snuba on the EAstern Magic while at St. Thomas..at Coki Beach. Dave's site has our pics they took of us.

Hubby and I did Snuba on our Western Carribean NCL cruise last February. I thought it was great. We did book through the cruise line and were the only people in the group. We got some instructions when we got to the dive shop and then our guide fitted us for equipment. He gave us time to get used to breathing out of the hose before he took us out to deep water. It took me a bit to get used to the air drying out my throat and I even went up and hung on the raft one time to get my bearings. I would recommend bringing a bottle of water to leave on the raft if possible. My throat got SOOO dry. After we were finished with the tour, hubby asked the guide...how much to go around again? he quoted us a mere $35.00 for the tank of air to share. This excursion through the cruise line was about $68.00 each I believe. He took us around again and we saw lot os different stuff. After a bit..from swallowing water, or the waves, hubby and I were a bit nauseus and wanted to quit. We have the coolest picture and our guide took one of us under the water. I think it is the neatest thing and want to get certified now. This was in Cozumel by the way. After our snuba we went shopping and of course stopped at Carlos and Charlies. have fun! Melissa

i believe you can also do snuba in key west too, but i could be wrong on that. Maybe i am getting confused with what i saw for nassau.

I do not remember any advertisments for snuba in Key west, but I suppose it could be there. When we went it was kind of cold to be thinking of getting in water in Key West. I wanted to do the kayaking in Key west, but we only had about 4 hours there, so we just walked up and down one of the main drags, and bought some cute tropical shirts for tropical night on our cruise.
