Am I right in thinking that any snowglobes we buy now have to go in the hold rather than hand luggage?

Yes Elaine, that's right. I brought a large one back in October, and it got home in one piece.

Thank you, Laura, I'm glad yours got home OK. :goodvibes I should imagine they are quite well-protected in their packaging and luckily we have hard suitcases so if we buy any (I'm sure we will :rotfl: ) I'll wrap clothes round the boxes too.

Elaine, I put mine in the case last year, and like Laura's it got home in one piece.

Hi i really want to get a snowglobe when i go to WDW in april :cool1: , but am real worried about it breaking if I pack it in my case. I can't believe none of your globes broke, i think i would  if it did! :sad2:

We were a bit worried when we brought back one of the big ones last year. It was well protected i the box and we wrapped our towels round it and it was in one piece at the other end. They just take up a lot of room :scared1:

Glad you got yours home safely, Jules and Jackie. I feel reassured now! :goodvibes

my snow-globes have gone in the case ever since one in my hand luggage was mistaken for a bomb at Charles-de-Gaul airport! i do have to admit it did look a little suspicious on the xray machine, all you could see was the batteries and wires :rotfl2:
