Sarah...I say wear the shorter skirt and get sympathy!

Me too! Hope your first day back went ok!!So the non-earth shattering question is: tomorrow, do I wear a knee length skirt or a full length one? I'm still wearing my brace and I have NO problems showing it off... and somewhat inclined to do so, in order to have the "yeah, see? Surgery. Still recovering" in your face approach. The leg brace is far too big for most pants. I do have a pair in black that are yoga/sleep pants, but I feel silly wearing them in public, though I do occasionally.

Hello birdies!! Once again, I haven't been around a lot lately. I've been a busy little bee. We put our tree up on Sunday, but it's not decorated yet. We want our kitten to get used to it before we put anything on it. So far, he hasn't had much interest in it which is good. However, our other cats love laying underneath it or chewing on the branches. So aggravating!!! I hope that everyone is doing well. I don't have time to read back through what I've missed. I miss chatting with all of you everyday!!!
Oh my gosh - a Christmas parade before Thanksgiving? Isn't that illegal? I should talk. My tree went up yesterday!
I hope the weather holds out and you have fun!

Just barely! European ovens are generally smaller than American ovens. When I was unpacking the kitchen stuff, I tested all my pans and put the ones that wouldn't fit into the oven up in the attic...including my roasting pan.
So this morning I had to look around for the biggest pan that would fit into the oven--fortunately the roasting rack just barely squeezed into it. It's a 13 lb. turkey (yeah, just for the 5 of us--we like leftovers
). I'm thinking that we won't be able to host a big holiday meal while we're living here, because any bigger turkey wouldn't fit into the oven!
Yesterday DS11's teacher told them they wouldn't be learning anything today anyway!
With one grandma in the hospital that knocks our visiting down to only two families, but I'm sure we'll make a pit stop at the hospital in the middle. I think I'll make my grandpa a plate so he'll have something other than hospital food for T'giving. And my grandma's just starting to eat broth and jello, so maybe by this afternoon she'll be able to eat just a few small bites of mashed potatoes! I'm sure going to miss her chicken and dumplin's this year! I'm just thankful that she made it thru and is recovering well!
