Wendy!! You are making me nervous about that packing!!! And thank you---she is very sweet!!!I love her!! We keep the outfits for a while and she plays dress up in them!!! Then we give them to a friend who has a daughter that is just about2...the one she gave her before they could NOT get her to take off..she napped in it then wore it to Wal Mart!!! She was a chubby baby with a fat little belly...it was hysterical!!!!!!
Well, I have a chiro appt this morning..brining in ds11 for him to go over his xrays and adjust him...and look over ds14s spine...they check your kids for free...so I had staggered their appts.....they are getting three-for-one this morning! DD goes tomorrow...she said she didn't really need to go to that!!! ha!!! has been ignored for about 2 straight days, so that is beckoning me for sure...and just a little organizing this house all around....but I think I need to go to the landscape place too...got a few holes in the beds that need filling in...have my eye on a few new types of shrubs!!! One is soooo cool! It's a 'butterfly bush'-the flowers attract butterflies..but also look like one!! With the exception of a couple of things in the laundry I have chosen all the clothes to bring... I think they will fit into a carry on easily... I am getting so much better at this!!!

Hello everyone!!!! I don't know if I said it over here or not, but over a week ago, our laptop hard drive completely crashed. I've had to use our desktop computer (which really stinks). Well, our laptop is finally up and running again! Which means I can now DIS a whole lot better.

I must say, the UG's new crowd calendar is great. When I first saw that my trip is now at 1's, 2's, 3's and a 5 I got very excited. The new way of calculating makes a lot more sense. I can't wait to see what a crowd level of 1 looks like!!!

Hi guys! I had a nice easy day today. The heavy heat and humidity have passed for now. We had some nice thunderstorms last night and a bunch of rain.

I will definitely take pictures of my 8 and 9 crowd levels for you! Only a couple months away! I keep making lists and charts and thinking I should be doing something. But really, there's not much I can do right now. I have been watching the park hours, I hear they're changing some in June and July. We'll see.

Tomorrow I'm going with Sarah to her field trip to the Center for Book Arts. No idea. She went as a preschooler and I didn't go along.

Then Friday is Sarah's game day and I'm volunteering in the a.m.
Just a few more weeks of school. Then I won't have any "alone" time on Fridays. I think on my last Friday I'll have to make a spa appointment! I could use a massage!

Did you see this?? Who thinks it's a good idea to RENAME Cinderella's Golden Carousel and make up a new story to go with it?????? This was on the DIS.

Starting 6/1/2010 the name of the Carousel will be the Prince Charming Regal Caroussel.
Disney has created a new background story to go with the name change.​

After their wedding, Cinderella and her Prince Charming moved into Cinderella’s Castle. The Prince decided that he had some spare time on his hands since the kingdom was so peaceful. He wanted to enter some jousting tournaments, but needed a little practice. In some spare land near the castle, he built a contraption that would help him train. It was a circular platform that held carved horses, big enough to ride on. A trainee would sit on a wooden horse while the platform spun, allowing him to practice ring-spearing, one of the popular tournament events. In this event, a knight rides his horse as fast as he can, and attempts to use his lance to spear a small ring hanging from a tree branch. The ring-spearing event was known as “carrousel.”

Soon, everyone in the village noticed the Prince’s “new toy.” To give everyone a chance to experience it, Prince Charming built another carrousel nearer to the Castle. The new carrousel was made to fit the splendor of the Castle Courtyard, by decorating the horses with golden helmets and shields, flowers, and medallions. All the villagers are invited to take a spin on the carrousel and enjoy a taste of the royal life.

Wow....touringplans.com really did change. I'm glad they've started to include all attractions, because that makes much more sense. It will be much easier to plan, if I know the peak wait time at the most popular attraction at each park, instead of just what they think it will be based on the Magic Kingdom.

Was there a story behind Cinderella's Carousel before? It's possible that they're trying to attract more boys to the carousel by saying it helped the Prince with his jousting. It wasn't an attraction I was particularly attached to, so I don't really mind that they're changing it.

Wow! Is it maybe because of the big Fantasyland change up? Hmmmm Have to ponder this and see if I like it or not...maybe when i get there i will think it's okay...kinda strange at this point!! Glad you got storms..it sprinkled for like one minute-literally! We need a downpour!

My in-laws are flying in today for the long weekend. We have no idea what we're going to do with them, since my husband is still in a walking cast. He had more x-rays yesterday and (as is typical with stress fractures) the damage finally turned up, confirming our and the physician's assistant's diagniosis. My MIL is going to bring rice krispie treats, so I think I'll pretend they're Mickey-shaped!

Just wanted to share that we're just about done the new daycare room!!!! Just a few small things to do yet- hang a smoke detector and put child locks on the cabinet doors/drawers. The room has to be approved by the Fire Marshal and my state licensing agency before it can be used by the kids. Right now I have put the essentials in it- a hot shot to heat bottles and make myself cups of tea I can't wait for the kids to be allowed to use it for art and eating. Until it passes, the kids can only use it as an egress to get outside to the playground. Once it's approved I'll move the microwave, second high chair and other kitchen stuff down. Can't move it yet since we use it daily. This room has taken us almost a year so say your prayers for me that all goes well with inspections! I'll be calling Monday to schedule them!

Kim! I love your room!!The paint is almost the same as my school room!!Maybe a shade darker!!! I looooove yellow! Makes me feel awake and happy--hard to be depressed in a room like that! Good morning birdies!!
Hope you are all doing well today!!! I have a day planned to not really have a plan!!! I want to go get some plants to work on this weekend....but gotta go before its too hot...so my time frame is shrinkin by the minute....other than the flower beds I don't have much planned for this weekend.....Mike wants to play golf at some point....I want to read....kids want to be let loose to stay on the ps3 or Wii uninterrupted by silly things like time limits.......so...other than church on Sunday nothing is definite....well, other than the heat and !! I think I am gonna take sheets and make my kids togas for the summer...wouldn't that be awesome! no decisions on clothing and how much cooler would they be?! i am such a great mom to think of their benefit like this....heck, I would wear one myself!!!!!
Got my little daughter signed up at the library yesterday for our local summer reading program..she was so excited...but of course, she doesnt want to read any of the books...she wants me to read them all TO her...sorry sister...you gotta read something!!!!Boy...this is gonna be long...I can see it now....
Ok..big news...for all of you who remember our ordeal with the crazy neighbor with the pooping dog...that we called the law about and she went berserck with the police man? WELL....she is moving today!!! Thank you Lord!!! She has the UHaul nearly full as we speak! I am not sure if she sold her house or what...she had a realtor sign then she took it down...never a SOLD sign...kinda weird. someone said they thought maybe she was going to rent it to her BIL...uuuhhhh SORRY..can't rent a house in an HOA (at least I don't think we can...gotta check on that)...of course, she is so hateful she probably sold it and just would not tell any of the 'hood out of spite....whatever... i am glad they are going...maybe she will be happy when they get back to Houston!!!! Thought ya'll would like to relish in that for a bit!!! As you had to hear me vent for so long!!!!
So...I hope you all have a wonderful long weekend!!! Enjoy it and be safe!! I know that we have lots of people out drinking and partying down here this weekend...holiday and all the graduation parties....so be careful!!!!!

Shawna- So glad for you that your neighbor is moving away!!! No more dog poop!!!

I had to keep Madison home from school today. She woke up this morning and had a low fever. Can't send her to school like that! I actually had to pick her up early from school on Monday because the school nurse called to tell me she had a low fever (100.4). I gave her some children's motrin and it went away rather quickly. The next day, she was fine..no fever...so off to school she went. She hasn't been complaining at all, so I thought we were all done with this. Last night, my mom was over for awhile and Madison always like to cuddle with Grandma. My mom felt her head and she was warm (mind you, it's been in the upper 80's all week...everyone feels warm!). So, I took her temp and she had another low fever. Again, I gave her some motrin and then it was off to bed. As of right now, she's feeling fine and she doesn't have a fever. I have no idea what's going on!!!!

I hope we're over this for good because we have a packed weekend (as usual). Tomorrow, Madison and I are going to Syracuse for my cousin's bridal shower (Maddie is the flower girl). Of course, I have to teach ballet in the morning before we go (last class before the recital). Sunday, we're going to Fantasy Island (a very small local amusement park) to watch my students dance. Every Memorial Day weekend, they hold a dance showcase. Our dance school always dances on Sunday. After the show (we only bring about 10 classes to the showcase) we'll stay at the park for awhile and hang out. Monday, Madison has an extra dance class in the morning (she normally dances on Mon evenings but it's cancelled for the holiday). It will be her last practice before the big Buffalo Feis (pronounced FESH which is Gaelic for competition) on June 5th. In the afternoon, we're heading over to my sister and BIL's house for a picnic. They have an inground pool and a hot tub that they keep at a comfortable temp. That is where you'll find me most of the day!!!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. I have off today (Sunday) and tomorrow...without even requesting to have it off! So I'm at home now, resting up and continuing my vitamin intake. I'm feeling a ton better, but now I have a stuffed up nose...grrr.

How was everyone's weekend?
We kept busy and spent the last weekend we will ever spend working on the new room! All done! My licensing specialist called me back today and said she will be out any day- can't tell me when since I'm due for an unannounced. She's also going to call the fire marshal to let him know to come out. So I have 2 unannounced inspections in my near future. I'm glad it's all finished finally but now I'm anxious and nervous for the inspections to be done.
