Last night we traded in our gas guzzling 16 mpg Ford Explorer that needed about $2000 worth of work for a shiny new Nissan Versa that gets 32 mpg highway.

It will save us tons on gas just with DH going back and forth to work. While we were driving it home DH got all quiet and I could tell he was in deep thought. Turns out he was doing the math in his head for how much we will save when we drive it to Disney in Dec!

It's such a happy moment for me when DH talks Disney without me bringing it up first!
We will spend less on gas but it means I really have to be careful with the amount of stuff I pack. It's a hatchback and it doesn't have nearly as much storage room as the Explorer. The stroller is my main concern. I have a double Maclaren that we always take but this time we may just end up buying a cheap umbrella for Em and letting the two of them take turns in it. Andrew is really too big but his legs tire out easily and I know he's not going to make it the entire week. It's nice having the double if we need it for both of them to sit or even just to carry our stuff while the kids walk. I might have to do a dry run with our stuff soon to see what to do.
