Kim, I'm ever so sorry! I'll be thinking about all of you.
I'd appreciate some prayers my Snowbird friends. Jason was laid off today. His last day is this Thursday so we weren't given much notice at all. Please pray that he finds a job quickly!

Hi Snowbirds! It's been a while since I have been on line... many things have happened in our lives the past year and we are finally getting to a place where life can be normal again (whatever normal is).
Since last we spoke... my mother in law passed away, my daughter moved to Buffalo to take a job and continue her graduate studies, and my son is finishing up his first year of college (very successful year).
Dan will be home from school in beginning of May and as a treat we are going to Disney memorial day weekend... he had a 4.0 in the honors program and played Division 1 golf and traveled alot... we are very proud of him...he picked up a minor in theology ...
we will be staying two nights at CSR and then three nights at AKL.... made some dining reservations... we are thinking of doing the Segway tour one morning... was looking at the parasailing but boy is that expensive... and we are going to play golf two days... my dad and his girlfriend are going to meet us there... will be tons of fun...
Hope everyone is doing well... have a magical day!
Your plans for Memorial Day weekend sound wonderful!

Hi Wendy, good to see you!

Thanks so much for all the thoughts and prayers! Jason met this morning with his former employer and he starts back next Thursday so it's only a one week lapse between jobs! They also told him he could pick up where he left off as far as pay and vacation time each year. As soon as I hung up the phone with him I took a deep breath, thanked God and felt the weight leave my shoulders. I am so relieved and thankful this morning!!!!!![]()
I think your Maggie is now closer to Meghan--they should have a Dismeet!![]()

That's great Kim!
Wendy - Is Maggie really far from you now? I don't remember where you live.
Well funny you should mention that- his layoff was terrible timing! We spent last weekend ripping out the 8yr old carpet upstairs and ordered wood flooring. When he called to tell me he was being laid off I was worried I was going to have to start a new decorating trend with plywood subfloors for a while if he didn't find another job quickly. Now that we know he has a job to go to we are hoping the flooring is in this week so he can start installing it before having to report to his new job next Thursday. No worries- that should keep him plenty busy!Kim...glad to hear things are okay! well, he can just look at it as a one week vacation! But, I am sure you have plenty around the house for him to do!
Wendy...that is awesome that Dan did so well!! We have missed you on here!!! hope you have a fantastic weekend at the World!!! I think your Maggie is now closer to Meghan--they should have a Dismeet!
Our anniversary was good! We didn't really do much yesterday since we were gone over the weekend...and the weather was rainy and dark....sort of took out the motivation to get anything done. Tonight is ds's last baseball game for school...I am glad! He doesn't have a vehicle yet and this back & forth to another town is for the birds! But, he enjoyed it a lot, so we are happy that he got the opportunity!
That's so fun that you are bringing a little bit of your travels home with you. My uncle used to travel with his job and his house is a mix-match of items he brought home with him over the years. It's such a neat collection and it's fun to hear all about the places things are from. That's great Kim!

We're still waiting on orders. At this rate, I doubt we'll be out of here by the end of the summer.
I'm working on buying up all the stuff I want to take home with me. Sewing stuff in particular is comparatively inexpensive here, so I want to stock up a bit before I leave.
I also want to get a piece of Korean furniture, but everything I've seen is crazy expensive.
