I enjoyed TSM but I don't think it is worth the long wait

After this meal I really started taking pictures of our all our meals

The deserts were awesome!

After I typed the title of the next chapter this is exactly what I thought of

Tuesday August 19

At 6:15 the phone began to ring. When I picked it up Mickey was on the other end telling me it was time to get up!

We all got ready quickly and headed down to Everything Pop for breakfast. After we ate I stopped in the gift shop to buy a rain jacket…I was fed up with my poncho! This was the best thing I could have bought and totally worth $45!

After I made my purchase it was around 7:30 so we got on a bus for Epcot since all parks were opening an hour early because of Fay.

We made it in time for rope drop and decided to head to Space Ship earth since there was NO WAIT!!

When we finished our ride we saw that the park was DEAD! The rain was really turning people away…it was raining very hard but I was nice and dry under my new jacket!

We all decided to head over to Mission Space…the sign said a 0 minute wait! We couldn’t believe the luck we were having!

After MS we decided to head over to Test Track…it isn’t our favorite ride but since there was no wait we decided to go on!

Dad and I tested out some cars after…

We then walked over to Soarin…again this isn’t my favorite ride but Dad had never been on it and since there wasn’t much left to do we decided to ride it. The wait was about 20 minutes but we decided to use our instant FP’s for the ride.


When we finished with Soarin we walked over to The Seas with Nemo and Friends which was a walk on (are you all seeing a pattern here…).

I took some pictures inside they ride but they didn’t turn out very well…


When we were leaving the Seas Turtle Talk with crush was starting so we headed over there!

I thought the show was so cute!

After we finished Turtle Talk it was about 10:30am. We had an ADR for Coral Reef at 11:30 and we had done everything we wanted to do at Epcot.

WS wasn't open yet and it was still raining pretty hard so we headed over to Ellen’s Universe of Energy since it was 45 minutes long and inside.


I remember getting into the ride vehicle and shutting my eyes…next thing I know Dad is telling me the ride is over…I had fallen asleep!
It was now close to 11:30 so we decided to check into Coral Reef.


We didn’t wait long for a table and when we were seated Mom and Dad saw the special menus I had made for them!

This was the best meal ever! Coral Reef is my new favorite restaurant and I highly recommend it!

I had a Steak which was to die for



Mom had the Pork Chop which she enjoyed

Dad had lobster salad…he said it was ok


For dessert I had the chocolate lava cake


Mom had key lime pie



And Dad had some type of dessert that had Jack Daniels in it

They were all so so so good!

After lunch we decided to head back to Pop.

The plan was to head over to DTD…but Mom decided to stay at the room and rest…so it was just Dad and I. We headed down to the bus stop and waited 45 MINUTES for a bus in a downpour!!

I was lucky to have my new jacket but poor Dad only had his poncho and was freezing. He decided that he was going to buy the same jacket I had for him and mom once we got to DTD.

I don’t have any pictures from DTD since it rained the entire time we were there!

I did however learn that Dad loves to shop…you should have seen all the stuff in his basket!

After we finished shopping we headed back to Pop to pick up Mom…we had a fun night planned…but would the rain ruin that?

Coral Reef is the best restaurant at Epcot.

Even with the rain, it sounds like a heavenly day at Epcot, walk right onto each ride!! I personally LOVE Soarin'. Did Dad like it? I agree with you that Turtle Talk with Crush is great, he is very funny interacting with the audience. DD9 got to ask him a question, so she felt like a movie star.

You fell asleep on Ellen? Too funny!

I'm sure that your parents were touched when they saw the menus. What a thoughtful idea.
So glad you bought the rain jacket. I also hate the ponchos, especially since they have to be put on over the head. I bought new ones for DS and I from Disneyshopping.com, on sale, before we left. I liked them because they zip down the front and are much more comfortable.

I'm so glad you had fun, even with the rain. We got lucky with Hanna when we were there! But I think Disney is one of those places where you can actually have fun in the rain if you let yourself!
