Nobody knows at this point. At least nobody with concrete information who is willing to risk their job by saying the scheduled opening date in a public forum.
Hopefully it will at least be in a consistent soft open state at that point in May, but it is impossible to say for sure.

There's been no official announcement yet. There's been a few rumors that say sometime in March and there's also speculation that Disney will try to open it around June to compete with Universal's HP expansion.

Ugh summer just because of HP? I have absolutely nothing to do with HP. I DO love WDW and DCL so maybe they will get it done by spring so that the Star Wars week visitors, Mem Day Vacations etc, there is no reason to wait to summer for the big reveal... I've seen dates like Feb 18 online (not that I really believe it) but March and April would be great. HP has nothing to do with Snow White. They need to get it open ASAP and get people talking about it and get the bugs out before summer. (And keep their Visa rewards and cruisers happy!)

If Disney could do a commercial with some sneak peaks at the ride- that would really generate a lot of excitement. People here on the DIS know all about what is coming up at WDW but many others don't... so a commercial would be a great way to spread the word... and the excitement...

Even if the commercials didn't show any more than the pictures in the above link- I think that would inform and excite many families to plan a trip to WDW.

the entire expansion itself took 3 and a half years. They opened new fantasyland in phases. Yes they excavated and did prep work for the mine train but no serious work was until about two to two and half years ago. You also have to realize the amount of detail that is going into this mountain Disney doesn't there be short cuts.

The track has been done for quite sometime and they run the cars almost everyday.
