Snow to 80 in 8 days–A spoonful of Holiday Cheer (2/5 update Ch 36 - Final Thoughts)

That's even grosser, Marv!
 It is a soft oatmeal bread made with wheat and oats! Absolutely delicious! I'm not a fan or warm cereal/oatmeal, so I have to get my supply of heart healthy oats from bread, cheerios, oatmeal to go bars.........or cookies! :rotfl:
MickeyD's isnt' open at like 5:00 AM?? Ours is open pretty early for the seniors to get their .$.67 coffee.
The closest one to me doesn't open until 6:00am. The seniors are there waiting in line I think...... ;)

I am impressed by all the baking you and your DW made and even took with you. The 7-layer-bar sounds delicious, unfortunately I don't think I would be able to get those morsels here (I even had to google them to find out what they are) - or graham crackers. What was the coconut thing your DW made? That sounded delicious, too!

And don't worry, we read your Dirndl question and discussed it, you will get an answer soon!! :goodvibes

First and foremost I am a newbie to your rowdy yet interesting TR (that is yet to be determined since it appears that I only found one actual update).:confused3. Is this so? I am impressed actually..........:upsidedow

I can't wait to hear more.....I started reading this TR last night and I felt it ok to pop open a Mick Ultra.....you know, I felt like I was on the sofa chatting with my girlfriends.:thumbsup2

Yay you missed the snow!!!!!

Your christmas tree is better then my older sisters one year. We called hers the "charlie brown tree" LOL

Cookies I can deal with. Bars are ok too, but just about any other "breakfast food" is a no-can-do for me. Lasagna? YES! leftover meatloaf sandwich? you betcha- Toast? No WAY! In any shape or form.

Cheerios are best left for a midnight snack.

You do realize they recently added internet service in Florida don't you??? :rolleyes1

Yes, Mr. Smartypants. I just might not want to spend my valuable WDW time looking for an update to your TR that won't come until February anwyay. ;)

Serisouly though, my DH is taking his iPad so I hope to hop on in the evenings. I plan to post pics/updates on FB via my iPhone if anyone is interested please friend me on FB - my real name is Jennifer Baney.

Oh, I'm so sorry Marv! Am I making you feel old?? Not my intention at all, I promise. Just for the record 1991 was a good year for me in high school:goodvibes. What were you doing in 1991?:rolleyes1

Have a great trip too:goodvibes!

I graduated from HS in 1991 so I make the 90's list too - woo-hoo! Thanks for the trip wishes!

Or 7 layer bars? There's grain in those, well at least graham crackers, right? Chocolate is good for the heart, coconut is good for something I'm sure. And you're getting vit. d from the sweetened condensed milk. Yup, it's a healthy meal all wrapped into one.:thumbsup2

So the seniors are waiting in line at your McD's? It's such an obvious joke but I'll ask anyway...were you in that line??

And here's a little bump to put you back up top, you know, to keep your readership up in case you've been having trouble:rolleyes1

Too bad you can't get those items so you can make them! Maybe your next trip to WDW a little birdie might send you some to enjoy! :rolleyes1

As for the coconut thing, it is Sour Cream Coconut Cake. Another very easy item to make. Would have to get the proper amounts for you, but you combine the sour cream and frozen coconut (here that means it is very finely shredded, as opposed to the one you buy by the bag) and let it set up in the refrigerator overnight. Use a typical white cake mix and make it into two layers. When the layers have cooled completely, slice them in half horizontally to make the two layers into four layers. Take the sour cream/coconut mixture and "ice" between layers, and then the outside of the whole cake. It is best to place the cake on aluminum foil with wax paper so you can fold the sides up until the sour cream/coconut sets up. You have to keep the cake refrigerated.

Thanks, I found it! :thumbsup2

Well, we missed Amanda, but only for a short while. And usually we don't have a charlie brown tree until well after Christmas when we haven't watered it in a while! :)
No chocolate chips or graham crackers???? :faint:
Hard to believe isn't it??? Confused You would think she was in Blankistan like Liesa was..... :lmao:

You're on the 90's list? I didn't think you were anywhere close to that old. That is like older than even Rosie!!! :scared1:

Maybe I'll post an update tonight to take some of the heat off of you! :rotfl::rotfl:

Bill Cosby's got nothing on you!!!

I love Bill Cosby! The show I mean;). "Dad is great, he gives us the chocolate cake!" DH bought me the DVD of his stand-up routine a couple of Christmas' ago.:thumbsup2

(See, that entire post was friendly, not an insult in sight. It seems wrong but that's ok. So how's that update coming...)

Bill Cosby is one of my all time favorite shows. Unfortunately, they DON'T make quality family shows anymore -- too much of that crappy reality television.

Marv's doing an update??? When was this announced? At McDonald's this morning over coffee? ;)
