Hey Marv! That's a perfect room location at Kidani. :thumbsup2 And Rafiki elevator Baybee! Oh yeah. :woohoo: That may be my only point this round?
Don't worry, nobody fell very far behind after this round, even those who didn't get in any guesses......:rotfl2:
GREAT picture of you with Julenissen and Sigrid and your wooden spoon! Love it.
The Storytellers were really great! I'm so glad someone mentioned them to me early on in my PTR. I had not even heard about them before that!
Thanks for the shout-out and the picture of the hour being chimed in Germany.
As soon as I saw that I thought how lucky I was to see this for the second time after you mentioned you had waited at the top of the hour before and it didn't happen for you. :confused3
That sounds like a patented move by a female professional wrestler.
:lmao:

Not the last tribute to you during the trip Rosie! Is the best yet to come??? And be glad I found you a hot Italian with good hands, and he'll even whistle at you all the time!!! :rotfl:

You really need to go experience all of that sometime! It is well worth it and Disney at Christmastime is even MORE magical IMO!
Hey I got Denny's right !!!:snooty:
Yeah, where did THAT come from???

Somehow I have the feeling they did...... :rolleyes1

She could easily hold your attention... ;)
and 0 judy sightings.
:thumbsup2
Now funny you should say that, because my next tribute to Glenn (and Judy) was to do a bonus contest of Alison sightings in those last three updates, AND including the next updates for the rest of our first Epcot Day. DO NOT answer now and give anything away, as the total will include the next updates too, but everyone can go ahead and start searching!

Oh, and one bonus point for Dan for innocently mentioning that!!! :thumbsup2

I forgot to comment on you finding my LONG lost great nephew CHET!!! The family is sooooo happy to know that he escaped from Ellis Island and is now working for an honest day's pay!!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Loved this update. We've never seen the storyteller, but I would love to someday. If we make it back for New Years this year, I want to get there early enough to see some.

The pictures of the decoration are so beautiful. I really like the Nutcracker. I have a collection on my mantle at Christmas. I don't think he would fit but maybe on the fireplace ledge. My youngest has danced in our local Nutcracker for the last 3 years.

Of course the spoons in Norway are just perfect for you.

It was very generous of you to give up one of your wooden spoons for the Norway storytellers, although it does bring up an interesting point- exactly how many wooden spoons did you bring to Epcot? I would imagine that bringing a whole bag full of wooden spoons through bag check might be considered suspicious...

Great stuff! I really enjoyed the pictures, and hearing about the storytellers. I haven't seen any of them, and it's great to get an idea of what goes on here. I can't wait to see more of Kidani as well.

And I think I might have gotten one or two blind guesses to hit the mark. I guess I shouldn't bother with that lottery ticket today...

Maybe I'll run into Chet when we go back in June so I can relay your well wishes to him! :lmao:

Make sure you go early to Epcot. I don't think they were there any longer starting with New Years Day. I know they weren't when we went back on the 2nd.

You should have seen the one that comes out at the end of the performance..... He definitely wouldn't fit!

Us wooden spoon aficionados are resourceful enough to find them as we need them...... ;)

You made those guesses a while back. I bet if you made them again today you would get most of them right, so that lottery thing might work out..... :rolleyes1

I was wondering the same thing, PK!!

"Ummm, sir, exactly what were you planning to do with these spoons?"

"Well, first, I thought I'd impersonate Elvis right after Off Kilter, and then maybe I'd like to see if Akershus would hire me as uh, personal chef, yeah that's it, personal chef to Helga."

"Sir, I've been trying that for years. You'll have to forfeit the spoons."

"Awwww, nutcrackers!" <Marv reluctantly gives up the spoons, and heads to find the cones of shame>

"Hey Bart! check out these great wooden spoons I got off some schmuck!"

"That's NICE! Let's go find Helga!"

After getting back home and reading some of the comments on my TR thread so far, I think next time I will be thinking about a lot of others; Kathy, Jen, Molly, Tammie (PJs in Las Vegas indeed), Amy................ Even so, I think Rosie still holds the title on this one until the rest of you can top Pole Dancing around Disney, and lap dancing a Piglet!!!

I'm not sure I could ever live up to those high standards! :confused3

I don't hear much about Christmas in the China pavilion. I wonder what that's like. The Christmas season isn't a huge one in China. I wonder why the Monkey King is telling the story...

Hahaha, good thing you carried those wooden spoons with you! How would they have been able to finish telling their story? Marv saves Christmas!

Oh my goodness, Disney has an ornament named "naughty"? Or maybe I'm the one who's making an innocent thing dirty...I blame Rosie's influence on me!

(I guess that might have been you.....I can't remember)

Nope I guessed the bathroom. :rotfl2:

, but our plans changed and we ended up with another commando trip.

Don't they all? :sad2:

but unfortunately we didn't make it back until our final full day, and all of the Storytellers and things were no longer available.

They stop on the 30th.

Well, we saw the barge, but it was later than 4:00, probably around 4:30. The glockenspiel ringing the hour was the photo op that occurred at 4:00!

AWWWW nuts :squirrel:

Ah no. I had you going the other way around World Showcase. I did get Helga's Nutcracker so that's some consolation.
Me too. I originally had Norway first but I remember he said his touring plan was like mine the year earlier so I changed it. Always go with your gut. :sad2:

That pair in Norway look like a big hoot! If I ever get out there in the Christmas season I'll have to check out some of these storytellers. :thumbsup2

I would say the best ones there. :thumbsup2

Someone with my skills would never put his spoon collection in jeopardy by carrying them in a bag that had to be searched at the entrance. Not unless I have them buried inside of a few blankets like a bottle of champagne so when they feel the bag they don't notice they are there........:rolleyes1

And good job working a Tim reference into your post!!! ;)
I'm not sure I could ever live up to those high standards! :confused3
Somehow I think you could handle the challenge! :goodvibes

I wish I had the time to stay longer and hear what the story was, or at least get a picture of the scroll telling the story. Sorry I let you down Yuki! :guilty:

That "child like" innocence isn't fooling any of us Yuki....... ;)
They stop on the 30th.
I was thinking it was something like that. Part of the reason I planned to get there early in the trip!:thumbsup2

That seems to be a common theme around here! Running in a lot of the same DIS circles, we all seem to think in similar ways. I'm not a complicate individual.... :upsidedow
I would say the best ones there. :thumbsup2
All of the one's we saw I would highly recommend. For entertainment value I would agree about Norway.

First, just from reading the update, I am pretty sure I didn't get any of the contest questions right. :headache:

Great update, Marv. Wait, great UPDATES, Marv. I am impressed how many there were. You got some really great pictures at the storytelling settings...I love them. One of these years we will get there for Christmas.

Well good grief Marv! I just got back from Disney and you have a whole slew of updates:eek:? I thought I made myself clear that you were to be slooooowwww while I was away.:headache::laughing: Ugh, going back to read now, it'll probably take me a week!
