Snow Days

Kentucky here! We're making up 3 snow days. Students out June 6th. Teachers out the 9th.

I haven't counted, but I think Orlando schools have had less Snow Days.

New York City here! We end on June 26 with or without snow days. (184 school days this year)
The school system hasn't closed for snow days in years! I guess it would have to snow 2 feet before it's even considered!
Whereas my son in Central New Jersey school is getting out June 18 instead of June 22. No extra days added on to Memorial Day weekend.

It takes two or more inches of snow to call off school here because we have hilly, narrow lake roads that are quite dangerous for the buses. We also have a problem with ice. Our temperature zone produces up to 1" of ice in a bad storm and it takes days to go away.

Only 1 snow day in these parts (Central Jersey) this year, so many school districts are giving two extra days for Memorial Day.

I'm in Central Jersey too.

We only used 1 day too, but we had 3 built in. Unfortunately (for me especially, being a teacher), they only gave us 1 extra day for Memorial Day weekend.

Another central Jersey (school librarian) here. We also had only one day and kids end on 6/12. But, to comment on the original post, once I played hookey to be in Disney in December, and we had a snow day, so I didn't have to take my one day off. I was walking around in shorts while the school closed, and I found that very amusing, though I must admit that I didn't when they had to de-ice the plane twice!
Also, I'm in a private school and the students must attend 180 days; our calendar is 189 days due to in-service, etc.

I think that we only had one day (maybe) here in the Seattle area! Our worst snowfalls this year were at the end of March and mid-April - very weird for us! Unfortunately for the kids - those storms fell on the weekend!
Our last day of school is scheduled for June 16th or 17th, but then our kids don't have to be back at school until Sept. 3rd...which is why we will be at WDW the last week of August!
