Snow Day!!

Went to bed knowing it was snowing....expected maybe a delay opening...but no....got the whole day off. The power did go out at 5ish this morning and came back about 8:15. Not sure if the closure was due so much to the snow....or the lack of power....not quite sure.

The snow is like cement out there....so the DH and DS say...its all plastered to the trees and even brought down a branch into the yard. There is about 6inches or so out there.

SOOOOOO.....I get the morning paper, and right on the front page there is an article about our city cancelling school tomorrow as well. There were a very large amount of teachers put in for personal days for "religious reasons" for the day which can not be declined....The paper sugguests that it "might" have been a coordinated effort, seeing as the teachers have been working without a contract since summer of 2006. Hmmmmm

Well......seeing as I work in the school system in a school.....I have a longgggg weekend!!!

I am in VT and looking at a similar scene out my window. The kids are here at work with me. We have a two hour delay, and then early release, so the kids will be at school a little over 2 hours. Whatever!

Snow Day here too. I have to admit that the pictures are beautiful, but I'm ready for spring. The prediction was 6-10 inches and we got over a foot and it's still coming down.

Snow at Easter get pictures of the Kids with their baskets. My parents have one of us it snowed on Easter when I was 6 about 39 years ago.

The good thing about this snow....the roadways are somewhat warmed up so after the plowing and snowblowing...th paved areas are just wet. No slushy roads.
