Snow day...well, not exactly.

Yes! its -12 here and a W.C. of -29! woot i got off school today. i had a field trip anyways to see the giver. who else has off!?

I got off school, and they never even told us about it! It's really cold. My mom actually drove me to school and it wasn't until we saw the empty parking lot that we figured it out. Because all the other schools have it off, so do we. Mom and I think it's a statewide day of mourning for the Bears losing the Superbowl. Lol

I'll do that. But, our school is a private school and often has school when others don't, and vice versa.

yep snow day here too! Its too cold, my aunt said its colder than alaska! Boy, i cant wait till the 17th

I think on the third, me and my dad were driving on the throughway and you could only see two feet infront of you because of all the wind, it was so scary i thought my dad was going to crash and i was going to die.

The wind chill here is about between -25 to -30 and we, and all the schools around us, still have school!!!!

As long as I have been in school (I am in 11th grade), we have only had one "cold day", and that was 3 years ago.

Keep warm everybody!!! If you are outside longer than 30 minutes and have skin exposed, beware of frostbite!!!

What? Oh come on! We live in the same state, but I didn't have the day off. It was -10.

This morning it was -20 (I think) with a windchill of -39-ish. We had to go to school =/.

Minnesota for 'ya.

That's the only thing I really miss about WV. Snow days every other time it snowed, if at all. One Flake was about a day of school, and the one time we got pounded by it, we didn't have school for a week. Greatest. Week. Ever.

My favorite part of the whole "it's cold out all over the place" right now is that people are blaming it on Global Warming. Isn't this... the opposite of what Global Warming is supposed to be? Global Being Really Really Cold Outside?

no really my school system JCPS never gives us a snow day last snow day was 3 years ago this year we were lucky to get a 2 hour delay

The factor of Global Warming that people are talking about is the "extreme weather" result of pollution, I think...

It has been freakishly warm this winter, for us here in Mass., besides these past two weeks where it has been VERY cold. Earlier in January, it was almost 70 degrees!

The past major hurricanes have also been blamed for Global Warming. I think they use that name , GW, because it describes the major factor that pollution is causing, but not the only one.

I am being too confusing??? LOL I am starting to confuse myself...
