Snow Cones

Does anyone have any suggestions on where to buy the floviring for snow cones? My kids recieved a snow cone maker for Christmas from a relative but no flavoring. The snow cone maker came from Walmat but we have checked 3 different Walmarts and they do not carry the syrup. I even checked Bed Bath and Beyond and no luck.

they should be out when the spring/summer stuff appear but you can use kool-aid just don't add all of the water that you usually do - I don't remember how much I used to do try doing 1/4 of the water then add more until you think it is right

during the summer my Target had 5-6 flavors available in nice big bottles. Not sure if they have it this time of year, but they did then.

you can also make your own by making simple syrup and flavoring it with kool aid mix..

You can also use undiluted canned (frozen section) juices. They also make natural syrups, you'd have to google that, which we haven't tried yet.

Walmart has them in the summer. They even have sugar free. I bought my from amazon though.

My Target carries the syrup all year.

You can also use the flavored syrups you get at World Market.

Another idea - any place that rents our snocone makers will also sell the syrups. For us, this is the local Tru Value, as they have an extensive rental center within the store.

Torani syrups work fine; World Market is one place that you can get them, but any place that caters to foodies should have them.

I started working at my best friend's family's stand when I was seven. They made their own, using homemade simple syrup and commercial flavoring extracts,and some food coloring. You can do it, too; just make strong simple syrup and add ordinary flavor extracts.

I always get it at Walmart and Target, but it's a seasonal item. Probably will start appearing on the shelves around late March. I always stock up during the summer because they are nearly impossible to find in the winter.

If you want one now, I think you can probably find them on Amazon.com or a restaurant supply store.
