My book club had a huge falling out last year because one member insisted on sending numerous political e-mails to those on our e-mail list. When we asked her to please keep the e-mails related to the book or literary topic, she accused us of censorship.
When I feel particularly evil, I'm tempted to concoct an e-mail to send to all the folks who forward e-mail to us:

A previously unknown virus is activated when users forward e-mails with attachments, jokes, warnings, cute sayings, or any other content that has been forward to more that two previous users. When you receive an e-mail that appears to have been forwarded to more than two people, you should delete it and not forward it to anyone else.
