Sneaking alcohol into MK

I'm not weighing in on the subject but DID want to tell people to Google "Wine rack bra". THAT is one thing they can't pat down. :rotfl::lmao:

I did google that, and I believe I have found the perfect stocking stuffer for DW this year. :cool1::banana:

I wish I knew what people were arguing about here. Can someone translate Tonka into English for me?

translation "I have no idea or nothing to support my statements but i'm right"
"I have nothing clever to say so i shall rebute by saying yeah yeah whatever"

It sounds like they're arguing as to whether drinking alcohol in MK is child abuse. :confused3

I also saw the "Booze Belly" for dbf.

I wonder if anyone would give a funny look though if you were sucking a hose from your chest?? LOL :rotfl:

Back when I was young and dumb I signed up for the Disney College Program. We were all poor college kids looking to have some fun and go broke doing it.

Yes we snuck booze into the parks. Not because we were alcoholics or child abusers as one on this thread has said we are. We did it for two reasons...1. To see if we could and 2. Because we didn't want to pay Disney prices for booze. That's is, we were cheap and stupid and never got caught.

And I have a feeling that many of the people who do sneak booze into any of the parks do it for those two reasons. But that is just my theory.

TONKA is a soux native American word for *long lived and high spirited*....My father named our 1954 Chris Craft Sea Skiff that, saying that if the boat lasted 3 sons she was well named............

well....TONKA is still going strong and is right now being winterized in her barn near the house.

Just for the record..........acting inapproproitly (where drunk or sober can be child abuse)........That is what I said

Your opinion is your opinion.....seems though I am not allowed to said mine.........sorry I inconvinced you today........by raising some real issues.....

PS I was never abused.........but all the rationizing in the world is going to change the FACTS I stated.

AKK

I've followed this thread with a great amount of entertainment for the last few days and have resisted posting, but I am weak, I cannot resist any longer.

I just have to ask, are you giving your opinion or the FACTS? There's a difference you know? If you're going to state your opinion, then fine state it, I'm perfectly happy to agree to disagree with people. Don't state your opinion and then say everyone else is wrong because your opinion is a fact. A fact is not an opinion, or we can discuss a reasoned judgement if you like. Your opinion can be supported by certain facts pertaining to said opinion, but at the end of the statement it is still simply an opinion.

I'm confused on what facts you are saying are facts, your opinion or your reasoned judgement? I agree that bringing your own alcohol into MK is against the rules. This is a fact. Being caught with the alcohol equals child abuse, is not a fact. It is more your opinion gathered through reasoned judgement on your part. This leaves room where others can have a conflicting opinion based on their own reasoned judgement. If you have the opinion of consuming any alcohol is child abuse then you probably don't go to any disney parks, because it's allowed if you buy it in other parks. If you feel this is child abuse then I cannot fathom why you would support a company that encourages this type of behavior? :rolleyes1

Now I do feel that any person IMO that honestly cannot function without alcohol in MK has a problem. I have yet to see anyone on this thread say they cannot function without alcohol in MK. :confused3

I see people who say they make a choice to bring in a small amount of alcohol for various reasons, none of those reasons are because they can't function without it. They are not alcoholics, they are making a decision that goes against park rules. If they are asked to not drink, or told to dispose of their drink they can still function. This is what I have seen posted on this thread.

Alcoholism is a primary illness or disorder characterised by some loss of control over drinking, with habituation or addiction to the drug alcohol, causing interference in any major life function. IMO sneaking a little bottle of rum, vodka, or beverage of choice into MK to spice up a drink is not alcoholism. Unless that person has to do that or they simply cannot function in the park in a normal fashion. Again I do not see anywhere in this thread where anyone has stated they cannot function in MK without alcohol. Unless you include Small World and Stitch but to me I can see and completely understand the reasoned judgement regarding those rides. :thumbsup2

Also just something else that is completely my opinion. If you're going to argue with other's opinions and then say your opinion is fact, and then follow it with "yeah, yeah, whatever" you lose your credibility. I'd rather see "nuh uh, I'm right and you're wrong. Nan na nan na boo boo! " Again just my opinion. :thumbsup2

I can think of worse places...

... and I'm sorry I did! :crazy2:

Ick..... My mind went there, and I had to bring it back. ;)

I have always wanted those "beverage" hats where the cans are in holders and you drink through the twisty straws.... :rotfl:

Actually I don't disagree with most of what you have said.

Unfortunity a few rude *The rules don't apply to me folks* who have spent the last few pages twisting my words and only refering to the Abuse .........not the rest of the issue............

Nor did I ever say mine was the only opinion or postion to be stated....that was the rude folks imagination working to try and win a point.

You would have to go a long way back to the many times I posted my positions.

Facts are Facts..fact.it is not a choice to bring in alcohol into the MK.its againist the rules.....I never said it was abuse.that was one of the twisted iones ideas.

If your going to anyway.then you either have a drinking issue or your so childish that you have to do it anyway. If there are more reasons...the rude ones have not bothered to say so..........I would be glad to listen.

If you act inapropreitly around kids drunk or sober that is abuse.......a child facing with a authority figure acting wrongly..they are fearfull, scared, don't know what to do, etc,etc........,that is emotional abuse. Someone a while ago posted wording to that effect out is some offical textbook.

I don't beleive anyone would state here that they have a problem...But one did say he had to hide it(thereby knowing is was wrong to bring it in in the first place) and make his drinking in a restroom............Now IMO.....if you have to make your drinks in a restroom..........you seem to need it pretty bad...and IMO..that person has a drinking problem.

Alcoholism and a drinking problem are indeed not totally the the same but pretty dam close in my book.

I gave up answering them over and over...so I did the *yeah.... yeah........ whatever* thing and will no longer respond to them.

Anyway thanks for your post.

PS..........sorry about my typing I am a bit dyslesic and my spelling/typing suffers.............apparently another of my short comings according to the rude few.

PSS As Ron White says..........YOU CAN'T FIX STUPID.........yes I know, now I am being rude.....but I have had enough of the fools!

Many have taken booze into dry venues, concerts, college ball games, lectures, etc. All rules breakers. None problem drinkers based on this behavior. These are all of 3 hour duration or less. We spend 12+ hours at MK. Some days I would love a beer. But bringing it in is just too much trouble. BTW, I've don't sneak booze in anywhere except the Derby, and that was when I was young and couldn't afford the beer in the infield. But judgement isn't mine. Nor is it yours or anyone else's unless it impacts you.

BTW Tonka, it's a Sioux word. Slow down and calm down. You've lost your cool and all credibility.

What did I do........mispell it?........yes I di.my error!

Ho I am calm....and I have proven my facts and opinion but one can only repeat them so many times...what does get me bad is the *rules don't apply to us folks*....when they can't justife their positions they start attacking the person and twisting the statements and facts.

Anyway.Thanks for the comment!:thumbsup2

Who said the rules don't apply to them? I haven't seen that in this thread once.
