DD14 has almost flat feet...as close as you can get without being 'truly flat footed'. The therapist and the person who cast her feet for her $300+
orthotics (forget what his title was) said NO!! NO!! NO!! to Nike and Addidas. They really didn't even like New Balance. Of the brands available at chain stores Asics were the best choice, but there is a variance in them. You need to look for particular styles. Fortunately, my DD's Physical therapist went shopping with us to show us what to specifically look for and how they should fit.
Best of Luck!! When we went to a small chain store here in MD called Charm City Run and the ones they recommended were $150.and the PT suggested that they be replaced every 4 to 6 months.

My daughter also has flat feet and she can only stand to wear the Asics Gel ones. They can be expensive but we generally find good deals on them at Kohls.
