Snake Phobia

yes, snakes are one of my biggest fears. lucky for me I seldom see any. so glad I haven't run into one at WDW.

On our Honeymoon while in the Magic Kingdom we saw a small snake, maybe 18 inches , in the bushes. I'm not a snake fan, but my husband turned a great shade of white and moved backward very slowly! It was really funny. :lmao: I thought he was going to faint! :rotfl2:

If you're terrified of snakes, like I am, don't go golfing! DH was golfing one day and the course had a sign posted "Snake Alert!" (And he wonders why I don't golf!) Apparently, due to recent rains, the snakes were coming out of their holes, many of which were now flooded. I asked DH, "So did you see any snakes?" "Oh, yeah-a few." I can't believe he was so calm!

Uuugghhh! I'm terrified of snakes? Anybody else with the same phobia? Last trip I almost jumped off the parking lot tram because a kid in front of us started waving around one of the rubber cobras.

What attractions and areas should I avoid?

Honey I Shrunk The Audience for sure. BUT my mom is terrified of mice and went and she just jumped a little. Now my "brave" 11 yr DS about had a restroom accident LMAO

There are snakes (in display cases) at Conservation Station....they are all behind glass so no worries. If you don't like them they are easy windows to avoid. Also- it should be noted that there is the sound of one hissing at you during the Songs of the Rainforest at CS.

The keepers there will often do live animal presentations on the indoor and outdoor stages with snakes. Just send a member of your party to check it for you first before venturing too closely. (they often display bunnies and such other animals as well)

Sorry about your phobia.....everyone has something I think. I met a lady once at work there who was terrified of the butterfly exhibit.

BTW, don't forget about the alligator sightings around Tom's island and other WDW locations, too!

We saw a gator last time we were there, first and only one I've ever seen. Was far enough away to still be cool :)
