Snacking and imbibing around Disney Springs?

They've changed so much in this area since I last went in 2014, and I'd love to hear your favorites. We plan to arrive at DS around 4 on our arrival day and just snack around with no reservations.

Stuff I've seen that interests me thus far: Coca-Cola rooftop bar, Sprinkles cupcakes, Poutine, Polite Pig. I've enjoyed Wolfgang Puck Express, Earl of Sandwich, and Ghiradelli in the past.

We might have a friend join us and I was pondering dropping into the Raglan Road bar (sans reservation) for a snack-y dinner and drinks. Possible around early evening on a Friday in early May?

We went in with a similar plan on a Wednesday night in February and it was beyond packed. We tried three different quick service places and waited about in line for an hour for food at Morimoto Stree Food and they were out of almost everything by the time it was our turn. Ghirardelli was a zoo and a 30 minute wait in line then another 15 for our order to come up. I was shocked! Just don’t want you get stuck like we did as it was an exhausting start to our vacation. I would make a reservation somewhere using OpenTable to have as backup then cancel if you get to DS and don’t need it. There’s no penalty for canceling on OpenTable.

We love sitting at the outdoor bar at the Boathouse and having drink and sharing an appetizer. Same with the bar at Homecomin'. During the day we have never had a problem, regardless of the time of year, getting seats at the bar (and have often been the only ones there) but since you are going to be there later on a Friday night I would suggest getting an ADR instead or doing Open Table just in case.

Crowds may vary, but I’d add the bar at Frontera Cocina. They serve the full menu and there are some great, shareable apps. And: The tortilla soup is fantastic.

The Coke bar is fun and we enjoyed the food at Polite Pig.
Raglen Road can be busy, but if you can find a spot at the bar, it is a lot of fun when the band is playing and the dancers are out.
Have not tried the Boathouse or Homecomin', but they are on our to do list.

Hangar Bar is fun. The new pizza place with Edison looks fun.

I love the habanero lime margarita at dockside margaritas. I was last there on Black Friday last year. It wasn't too crazy early in the day, but it was definitely getting crowded when we left around 6.

We've never had an issue with crowds, but have always gone during the week. Instead of snacking at quick services, we did drinks and appetizers at the bars of a few places and had a great time. On our latest excursion we did Jock Lindsey's, Paddlefish, Homecoming, and Morimotos. The only one we didn't love was Paddlefish. It had an amazing rooftop lounge, but the food and drinks were massively overpriced.

Make your own treat at Goofy’s (it’s ridiculously big), then take it up to the top of the Coke store and grab a drink to go with it there.

Thanks for all the suggestions! Sounds like the bar at Raglan Road may be hit or miss without a reservation, so I'll keep that in mind. If it's too busy, we'll just wander elsewhere.

It's a website where you can make your own dining reservations. You first choose the location in the state, or maybe you can search the exact restaurant name. We use it all the time.

People don't like to talk about it, because quite frankly no one goes to Disney World to eat in a Planet Hollywood, but the Stargazers Bar at Planet Hollywood has a Happy Hour that is hands down, by a mile, almost inexplicably, the single greatest value on property. You can sit out on the deck and drink for CHEAP!!! (Well, Disney cheap, don't get too excited.)
