Snack places and must haves

Trying to get somewhat of a schedule down for each day and dont want to miss out on must haves to snack on or eat while at DL.

My favorite is the sliced caramel apple - they are available at the little ice cream window on main street back behind the fruit cart. That used to be the only place to get them, but now they also have them at all of the fruit carts - that window isn't open all of the time, so it is nice to be able to get them elsewhere but I prefer the original because they put a fresh apple in the big slicer right when you order it and the sauce is warm.

We are leaving for our first visit on Wednesday, so I'm not speaking from experience (except, loved the Dole Whip at WDW), but here are some I plan on trying to try . . .

Bengal BBQ - has Mickey shaped pretzals
Golden Horseshoe - chili in a bread bowl
Mint Julip Bar
(CA) Golden Vines (name?) - wine tasting flights for $10
(CA) Bakers Field Bakery - coffee frappe'
(CA) Taste Pilots Grill - good burgers & has toppings bar - I think??)
(GCH) Whitewater Snacks - nachos

Taste Pilots Grill was horrible last week. Simply horrid. They even stopped serving those little potato smiley faces. None of use ate even half of our meal. Basically only the drinks and onions rings. The rest went in the trash. We went two years ago and it was fine then... NOT this time. YUK!

My two must-haves have already been mentioned... Every trip, I must have a Bengal skewer at Bengal BBQ, and a Dole Float at the Tiki Room.

Churros are great. The Dole Whips are yummylicious!

I'll have to try the Bengal BBQ on tuesday! Thanks for the tip.

Gotta have a Churro and a Dole Whip or it's just not a trip to Disneyland! I had the most amazing carmel corn in DTD in July but when I was there a couple of weeks ago it was gone! All they had was the kettle corn, which is a little different. If you ever see the carmel corn cart, GET SOME!!!

I was there 2 weekends ago and the Bengal BBQ was closed for remodeling. I hope its open now.
I love the Mickey Pretzels too. Also there is a tiny little candy shop next to the Winnie the Pooh ride that sells Tigger Tails. Yummy. It is the only place in the park that has them.

and as long as we are on the subject....I forgot to add...Does anyone else find the coffee at DL undrinkable? I need the stuff running through my blood if I am to function. Any tips?

We are pretty much a snack family. We always get a good sugar rush from the Tigar tails in critter country and I'm always on a churro hunt. I only eat them at Disney. I love the freash pinapple by the Tiki room.
