Thought I would pass this along to anyone who wants to have a special gift delivered to a kid or love one at Disney. I have done this in the past and everything worked perfect.
Just be sure that the address part that you put your arrival date. I usually write "hold 4 check in on 12/25/08" or whatever your arrival date is. I plan my package delivery date to the resort at least 4 days prior to my arrival.

Oh if it is a surprise call DVC and tell them put a message on your reservation not to mention that you have a package waiting.

The last time I did this was for our Valentines trip and when we arrived I got to witness the choreographing of how our package was delivered. Heres how it played out.
After checking in at SSR I saw a box in the hands of one of the bellhops then saw him look at us then took off in a golf cart while we were stalled by the other bellhops. Once he returned we were taken to our room. Where ..you guest it the same box that I just saw the bellhop with was waiting on us.

They run some great specials for as little as $15.00 and they often include a $5.00 coupon in the catalogs.

Nice idea, but please remember that bell services have limited storage areas at the resorts. With more and more guests turning to shipping items because of limited luggage capability of the airlines, the storage areas may fill quickly. It would probably be better (if you are staying several days) to try to plan for the delivery during your stay, rather than prior to your arrival.

I knw we plan to only use carry-ons for a a day or two of clothes, then either buy what we want in FL or ship a small box down. It will be cheaper than paying $15 each for one bag, each way even for two of us.
