smoke alarms

Ok, who has purchased these recently. What options do I need to have?
Fire inspection failed today. We need 2 additional smoke alarms.

So, what is a good price for one, and what should i expect in turms of options do they have?

I just bought 6 new detectors on Amazon for about $17 each. They should be replaced every 10 years or so. Mine are 7 years old, but were beginning to act funky (actually going off for no reason in the middle of the night for about 2 seconds, scaring the crap out of me). As for features... I wasn't really looking for features. I just bought the exact same kind already installed so I can swap them out. Mine are Firex direct wire with battery backup (model FADC).

I just saw a bunch of smoke detectors on clearance at Target. I can't remember how much they were, but I have definitely seen them at 2 Targets (I was searching for toys )
