Smells of Disney

I too would like to know if one can buy Disney smells. I would like the smell of GCH at Poly.

Favs-
Main Street-the popcorn, candy, bakery, AC smells in shops
POTC, IASW, SM-musty water smells
Frontierland-smoked foods and the earthy river
the smell of Florida/ Florida Rain/ Florida Hotel water
After the rain smell
Dry Ice "Fog Smell"
that weird attraction ride vehicle smell
Living with the land, the rain scene
SSE
Horizons, JIYI
AKL Lodge Lobby
Ghirardelli's
The Rose Garden at Epcot and the smell of the waterfall in Canada

I must agree with many posters on here, when you walk off the plane and it just hits you. It is also a feeling that you know you will be in your hotel shortly.

Just walking down Main Street and smelling the rolls, cotton candy and popcorn.

But I love the Fountain at CSR. That is my favorite.

I love the smell of the older rides as well. POC and Spaceship Earth. Although I don't like the Dark Ages smell very much.

Coronado Springs here we come (again!) April 2006

Whenever we get out of the car to check-in after just pulling up, I swear the air just has this "WDW" smell. My family thinks I'm crazy!

It's only been a month and I wanna go back!!

All the posts are bring back wonderful memories, except for Horizons. Horizons was gone by the time I got back to Epcot in 2000.

But Soar'n has wonderful pine forest and orange scent.

Folks have mentioned a lot of my favorites, but there's just something about the smell of the Alien section of the Great Movie Ride . . .

My favorite is the lobby of the Grand Floridian.

POC, COP, SM, SM and the Mexican Pavillion  villion

Somebody in the faculty lounge behind me where I didn't see them peeled an orange today, and the smell hit me....I closed my eyes and said Homer Simpson style,"Ooooooo...Soooooaaaarrrriiiinnnnn" with a stupid grin on my face.......
Also up there on my list:
The water on Splash Mountain
The smell of the Dark Ages
Diesel from the trams and busses
Smell is a very powerful thing! :sunny:

I agree smell is very powerfull.. THat is why they use it so well... TO make you think of certain things even when you are not there... I think it is great and I love every smell (good or bad) at disney.. Cause when you are having even the worst day and you smell something that brings you back to disney it makes it so much better...

I would have to say that the smell of the monorail is one of my favorites....you defintitley know you're at WDW. Another is the smell of POTC when you begin to enter the queue with the cool air coming outside. But my favorite has to be POFQ in the early morning. I was walking in to my office one early morning and I closed my eyes. For a moment all I could picture was POFQ, because all the sounds and smells were identical. It was a nice feeling.

Anywhere else, I would find it repulsive.......but there's something about the barnyard/stinky socks aroma of the monorail that gets to me every time.

Maybe that is why I cannot take that 1 smell.....we live on a dairy farm and I have teens. I get the barnyard/stinky socks aroma more than I can handle!! :rotfl:

Monorail, any gift shops (I guess it's the clothing), the AC from Mouse Gears, the Dark Ages area and loading area of SSE, the lobby of any of the hotels, the smell of the AutoTrain, the ramp area on Star Tours between the door you walk through and the ride itself, and finally the candy store on Sunset Blvd. I can't wait to get there now!! :Pinkbounc
