SMASH thread!

I really enjoyed the season finale! It was fun to see Bernadette Peters again~ if or just a few moments. So Julia is knocked up , Ivy may be drugged up, Karen is fed up, and Dev is F*d up...all the makings of a successful Broadway show!

:rotfl2::lmao:

[....well, that, or a great country-western song....popcorn:: ]

Great Finale!!!

What was everyone's favorite song of this season??

"Second Hand Baby White Grand" and "Don't Forget Me" (the finale). I'm bummed that neither one of them is on the soundtrack. I'll have to get them on iTunes.

Do we know why they were adopting? If the husband had a vasectomy that would mean if Julia is pregnant the baby is not his, right? :confused3

I don't think they ever gave a reason for the adoption. It never made sense to me, their son is almost out of high school, why adopt now? :confused3

I sure hope they rethink Julia being pregnant, it's not very original but Julia's whole storyline is not very original. The whole affair made no sense, other than Julia and her husband have no chemistry, but neither did Julia and Michael.

I just wonder if they'll keep the Ivy character next year. Would she really want to be in the chorus after coming so close to being the star?

For some reason I think there is/was a fertility problem. Maybe I made that up in my head to give myself an explanation. Hmmmmm

again, been there done that..just becasue All My Cjildren is off the air doesn't mean it's a good ide to start using cdlassis soap opera material

...OMG, I can't believe you said that - that's the FIRST thing that popped into my head!
yep..painflly obvious, which is why I am hoping she isn't pg. I hate when shows treat their audience like dummies.
"I Never Met a Wolf Who Didn't Love to Howl"....and I liked that last song of the Finale...

Wolf was my fave too!

I know their son wanted a sibling, but I don't recall an explanation either.

Julia's chemistry with anyone is non-existant. She's a B****.
If Ivy's gone, the shows over. No way they are dropping her.

What is ironic is that Julia and Michael are together in real life. :rolleyes: But, on the show, they act like two adolescents who keep pawing each other and need her DH & DS to chaperone them. :sad2:

I don't think Ivy can leave. If anything, she steps up as understudy now. She can still do things to get rid of Karen on the opening night and end up playing Marilyn and take off being a star once everyone sees her instead.

That really happened in real life when Shirley Maclaine ended up taking over for the star in a Broadway musical & all the critics were there that night so they wrote about her performance.

Ivy isn't going anywhere. Here are Katharine and Megan at the NBC Upfronts.
