are they Brazilians do you know? I cant talk to any of them, but I have been very curious because there are many people speaking Portugese. I have to bet a popular game in the portugese language closed and they are refugees like us?

I dont know I was just really curious where they all came from, if they have a story like we do.

I had a couple of people in my room earlier who mentioned Brazil...

many brazil people have there ip's blocked from many major games because the fanbase there is simply not big enough to create there own version yet they don't let them play, so thus they have to find games that don't block there ip's from playing.

Atleast that's what I understand as a gamer.

Well, King and I joined yesterday but I don't know how much more time we will have to put into another game. This game is fun, but still not something I am comfortable having the kids play with us. But, here are our names just in case you see us around:

OT, I HATE my poor posture. I want to poke me repeatedly between the shoulder blades!

Maybe the poke button for the pets was supposed to have been on us ... I sure can't figure out why we need it for them.

(I would not recommend starting with the large "premium" space; it takes way too much furniture to fill that thing up!)

yeah the game has some quirkiness for sure. sometimes rooms dont load, and i noticed sometimes there are more than one instance to a room, but it seems like it wont happen until it fills (20 person cap)

Another quirk - when I tried to configure my pool table it turns out it thinks it's a checkers game. It plays pool, but if you enter a tournament with it it'll be a checkers tournament.

The mission I'm currently on says I have to have 10 people dancing in my room on a weekend between 8:00 pm Friday and 6:00 am Monday, local time. Since the makers of the game are from New Zealand, I have no idea exactly when that is in relation to me. Anyway, I figure Saturday afternoon through Sunday evening should be safe, and I figure that many more of us will be on that mission by then. Anyone up for a room-to-room moving dance party this weekend to get us all through this one?

Has anyone bought an Arcade Game? I bought 2 and they both are the Generic Donky Kong game. Just wondering if there is anyway of knowing what game you're actually buying beforehand?

Also, I was in the Spa this evening with a bunch of other Dis members and a few Smallworld staff. Pretty cool although noone knows who I am

The mini golf game really needs to be fixed. I tried at different times today and after the 3rd hole the game stops. Unless today was just a bad day.

Also, the missions are enjoyable. Most of them involve teamwork like the last few VMK Host Quests. But, with these missions it's not all 'Friendly pool' or "friendly" whatever. Players seem to be helping others out.

Great game, I enjoy it, and the game s about 3 days old!! Definitely not VMK but the best substitute so far. It stinks we don't get to keep what we earn, but I'm not spending any money, the game works, it has a lot to do and can learn how to play pool...

Yes, everyone does that's one thing I don't like about the game. Skinny skinny body with a huge head lol. It's remeinds me of my 3 foot Dan Marino Bobblehead

This is such a great game! I cant wait to get money and beable to buy furnish. I love how you can buy Tvs and watch Youtube videos with friends.. or make a playlist of music on the stereo and play games. Very cool game!! I think I've finally found my vmk replacement. WOOT Altho its def not for little kids, the chat can be somewhat filtered to where you'll see bad words like this #$%^@# but you can also take the filter off and not be restricted at all.

I threw my lot in with the Smallworlds crew yesterday as well. Have to admit I'm hooked, LOL. Ran into a number of dis'ers at the Spa as well (they needed a 4th for the hot tub??)...of course when I walked in it was to the tunes of "...oh so pretty..." and I just knew, I was in the right place...LOL!

Look for me as "RightSaid Ned". The game wants a last name for your avatar I'm not sure how to break down "NedsTJ" yet, LOL!

But very cool world...look forward to exploring it more. Anyone know when the official Launch date is? The FAQ says June 2008, but nothing more detailed...(at least this way we know we're going to lose our stuff!)

We absolutely love this game! I know it is not recommended for children but my 12 year old after playing with me for awhile said "This is the game I have been waiting for". She actually got over VMK closing pretty quickly. She was over the taken, scamming, cute or boot. Plus, she never had any credits. In this game, she loves her cat, the stereo that she can personalize, watch You Tube videos, get her own pictures and decorate her room.

I need her to play because she can figure out all the technical aspects faster than I can. I'll be watching though in her interactions with others because more than likely everyone else will be an adult. She wants to play more than socialize but there are some missions that require help by others. Everyone seems very nice. I might even learn Portuguese!
