Probably not, considering they nixed that mission.
They did! WOOTASTIC!

I dont quite get this. How do you get it to go in cirlces without getting you? Are you supposed to be able to run faster than it, because I sure can't. Might be my slower computer.snake missions. shoot and make it chase you in a circle, once its all been hit and ready for you to jump on. go after the fruit for points until you feel all chased out. then jump on its head and take it out
I was working on that, as wellThat's why I was asking about the tokens. Oh well, I guess this will save me the trouble.
...I have most of the reward values so I added a page to wiki and edited it to reflect the new changes from today. It has most of the token values. I am missing a few. (I need to find where I wrote them down. For some reason they are in a different place than the others. grrr.... haha!) Feel free to add if you have the missing token values.
I had thought about this, too, when I was stuck on the golf mission for almost two weeks. I didn't have any tokens to buy things, and I got to wondering if SW will continue to hold my interest after my rooms are finished and I have no more missions. It's not like we can actually be that creative in our rooms since there are only so many ways to arrange furniture and you can't stack them. Right now I'm enjoying going around and helping others with their missions ('m out again), but I'm not sure how long that will last.yeah this is the one pitfall the game has as I see it.
What do I do when I have no missions, and I already said hi to everyone @_@
There is one incentive; playing the games and doing well on them increases your gamer status level.and, its a shame they have all those cool games to play and we will only play them once to complete a mission because there is no incentive.
I posted this a few pages back. I have input all of the mission rewards in wiki under Rewards. I have updated it with the new missions from today. Thanks, Aengus, for posting the "synchronized sitting" info here on DIS as I have not gotten there yet. It is now in wiki.
There are 3 token values that I don't seem to have - still looking for where I wrote them down. Feel free to add them if you have them, Mint (or anyone else for that matter).

Days, are you making keys to everyone's homes? hehe![]()
I'm glad theygot rid of the Mini Golf mission. I enjoy the game, but I eventually lost some interest in playing since I wasn't able to do missions. I really think they planned to have it on this day because they all knew it's my Birthday and they wanted to surprise me![]()

Y'all may already know this, but I just bought a door for my room, and found out that it's not just for decoration; it can be linked to one other space. This will give me a way to link my different avatar's rooms without the weird looking portals.
Earning Tokens by Participating in Video Game Tournaments?
A little backstory... The first time I went to "Game Planet" and tried all the games there was one of them that charged me a fee to play it. I believe that it was one of the cabinets with Swarm on it. Then later (that same evening) I was talking to one of my friends from VMK and she had already made over a 1000 tokens in Small Worlds. She didn't seem to be sure where it all came from but she got a message about being awarded the tokens and it had something to do with Swarm. When I went back to Game Planet later, none of the games were charging a fee to play them.
Eventually I bought a game cabinet for my room. The cabinets are configurable for any of the video games and there is an interesting option to set up a "Tournament." So I set up my new cabinet for the game Swarm (because I happen to like it a lot) and I set up the tournament feature. The cost for entering the tournament was 1 token and it was scheduled to end on the 20th (today). Now check this out:

This is the configuration screen from my arcade cabinet today. You will notice that in 10 hours awards will be given to the people in the first, second and third place positions. If everything holds the way it is, I will be 556 tokens wealthier sometime this evening. I'll post an update when it happens. I believe the reason I was charged a fee that day in Game Planet was that I had entered a tournament. I also, believe that my friend won that tournament. Since that tournament ended I haven't been asked to pay a fee to play the games in Game Planet again. Also, since my friend's award was 1000 tokens on a machine in the public room, I believe the award amount may be tied to the number of participants in the tournament.
I hope this is new information and I'm not just going over something that's already been covered. If I missed a previous post I'm sorry. I know there was some discussion that the video games should award tokens as a method of making money between missions. It looks to me like that feature is already in place. I kind of like the tournament style method that they used to implement the payouts.![]()
The public room tournaments I understand how it works, but I'm not sure about our own games. Won't the prize tokens come from your account, so you''l be paying the top three winners? What if the entry fees don't cover the payouts? If it's our tournament, do we get the entry fees? And is the tournament only for games played on our machine, or on other machines as well?
(I know you probably don't know the answers to most of these questions, just passing along things I've been wondering about. lol)
... they all knew it's my Birthday...
Hope it's a nice reference for the future.Sorry, I ust have missed that somehow. That would have saved me some time. Nice work, though!
Various machines charge to play at different times. They are the machines that are running public tournaments at that particular time. (I hunt for them and play the heck out of them! hehe) They are also the only machines that show a Leader Board.Earning Tokens by Participating in Video Game Tournaments?

One of the ways that SW states we can currently earn tokens is by running our own tournaments. I THINK that you had to set the entry fee and the prizes for your tournament. No?? You should get the entry fees, but I am 99.9% certain you also have to give out the prizes. I have a post on tournaments on the forums and will post for further clarification on this. The cost for entering the tournament was 1 token and it was scheduled to end on the 20th (today).

This is absolutely why you had to pay. You pay 1 time per tournament and can play as many times as you want in effort to place. When you entered the tournament, it would have displayed the prize amount and hte ending date/time of the tournament. Every public tournament I have seen has only awarded 1st place, much to this chronic 2nd place finisher's sadness. grrrrI believe the reason I was charged a fee that day in Game Planet was that I had entered a tournament. ... Since that tournament ended I haven't been asked to pay a fee to play the games in Game Planet again.
The amounts are set when the tournament starts. Also, since my friend's award was 1000 tokens on a machine in the public room, I believe the award amount may be tied to the number of participants in the tournament.
Yes.Just curious, but not sure if I'm remembering correctly...weren't first place winners the only ones who received tokens in Game Planet when the tournaments were on?
Does anyone know if a guestbook can be made "read only?"
I'm looking for a way to make a bunch text available to be read in my room. I don't think I've seen a widget for writing yet. I think that I could use the guest book. If I block everyone but the owner (me) from being able to "use" it, will they still be able to read it and just not comment?
