Small World

Does anyone know if the It's a Small World ride is open? I just read that it was closed until Spring 2005. We are going in 14 days and I love this ride one of my all time favorites!

Yep, it's open! You'll be shocked when you see it...I think they did a great job cleaning it up, everything is so new bright and sparkley.

Has it changed much? Did they just update it or did they add anything new? I had heard they were talking about adding new countries.

We were on it on the week before Easter. I hadn't been down to WDW since the early 70s, so I have no idea how run down the ride looked before the rehab. I was on the ride about 5 times during our recent visit and, each time I rode it, the same tiny little thing about the ride bothered me: near the end of the ride, there is a group of three or four polynesian/hawaiian dancers positioned near the left side relatively close to the path of the boats. The animatronics of one of the dancers appears to be broken, as her grass skirt doesn't shake like the others. I would have thought that this is something that would have been repaired as part of the rehab...or maybe one of the dancers isn't supposed to dance. (I know, I know....I need to get a life!)

I didn't notice anything new, but then again there is SO MUCH to look at. They did take the sad clown out tho.
