Can someone who has booked through Small World Vacations give me some input on their experience with that? Is it fairly reliable? I really don't know much about it, except that I got a quote from one of the agents and I'm trying to decide if I should book it through them.

Any thoughts?

I am currently booking my trip through Small World Vacations. My TA is great, she responds to my emails very quickly and positively. I can also contatct her by phone if I choose to. All of my confirmations I get twice, one from the agency and an official Disney confirmation. I've always booked all of my own trips, but I am really enjoying leaving all the footwork up to my TA (ADR's, ressie changes, discount codes, etc.) :flower:

I have never used them but I know many of them are very knowledgeable and travel to WDW often.

Small World Vacations is awesome! Our Agent booked everything but the airline. She even got us a seat a Cindy's ! She was friendly and knowledgeable. I would use them again in a minute. BTW our family is leaving tomorrow for the great trip she helped me plan.

I used SWV and was very happy. No problems at all. A lot of people here also like Dreams Unlimited. I would think either one would be fine, as they both specialize in Disney. Enjoy your trip! :)

I didn't have a great experience-- so I went elsewhere.

I asked for a 6 day trip with 10 day hoppers because we were going to stay off site. When I said I did not want to get only 7 day passes, she made the reservation for 7 day tics anyway. There was something else too, but I cannot remember it now. Instead of paying my deposit within 14 days, I let that pass and just went to a local TA. There were 2 things that gave me red flags so I didn't have agood feeling that I was being listened to. However, I did not try and correct the info with her before I went elsewhere and I'm sure she would have been great. Like I said, I just got a little nervous and jumped ship! I wanted 100% accuracy.

If I were doing it again, I would book straight through Disney. That way, you can call them with any questions. If you book through a TA, Disney will tell you that they cannot answer any questions or change your package because your TA owns the reservation.

I suggested them to one of my coworkers and now she refuses to use anyone else for her Disney trips. She had a big family reunion 25th anniversary celebration to coordinate and was so impressed that everything was taken care of with no hassles. She also planned a simple family stay onsite through them and it was a great experience for her too. If I was not intent on using AAA for a discount on my stays, I would use them too. Maggie

My SWV has beenrough fantastic. I just booked them this week and I'm extremely hapy with their (her) service.

Do you think that SWV can get a better deal on rooms, then you could get yourself? I have my trip planned, but am wondering if I am missing out on something.

and they were great. My TA was right on top of everything. When I got back, I had an email waiting for me welcoming me home. I emailed back that we got upgraded, and asked if she had anything to do with it. She said, not personally, but the Disney upgrades their clients frequently and she was glad that I benefitted from it. :earsboy:

For WDW, most Disney specialist agencies will get the same rate that you would at disneyworld.com or calling CRO direct, unless they have special blocks of rooms booked at a group rate.

For myself, the reason I use a Disney-specialist agent/agency is for their services. They do all of the work, so I don't have too - and they automatically apply discounts when they are released, so I don't have to be hanging by the phone at 6:55am. They even make my dining reservations for me.

I've had the same experience with Small World. Very happy with the quick responses by email and phone. Enjoy having someone take care of the details.

But the TA I've been talking with said that I can book with them AND get the AAA discount...Is this not correct?

Thanks everyone! I think I will probably book with SWV since it seems like most people have had good experiences working with them.

I have found our TA from Small World Vacations to be exceptional :love1: , she responds to my emails very quickly and positively. I also have the option of contatcting her by phone if I wish.

She has done alll the footwork for ADR's ressie changes and discount codes, which has been a blessing as its difficult doing it from Australia due to the time clock differences.

I'm sure you'll have a good experience give them a try.

Cheers

I think it would be correct. My Small World TA asked for my AAA number. Of course, I want to go to Disneyland and there were no AAA deals, but still...

Anyway, to answer the OP - I completely vouch for Small World Vacations. I know some of the Agents personally (including mine, which is why she's my TA :) and as somebody else stated, they do all the work.

It costs (generally) no less than dealing with CRO directly, or with any Travel Agency, but also costs no more, and it's soooooo much easier. My TA (Diana) already knows what kind of deal I'm seeking for my next trip, and if it becomes available will book it, then tell me.

Yes, they can get you the AAA room only discount, if there are still rooms available at this rate. Just provide your number. My Small World TA always does this for me. She's great and extremely prompt and responsive to all my emails and inquiries!!

Yes that is correct the only thing that can't be booked by going through Disney directly or a regular travel agent are packages with tickets and dining with the AAA discount on the room. That has to be booked through a AAA office

I am another happy SWV customer

I guess I'm one of the few that had a bad experience with SWV. She never returned my emails - even when a code came out for my time I emailed asking if she got it - never heard back from her, so I made my own ressie with CRO and got the code. Then it took an email to ?Sue (the owner) of SWV to get her to cancel the reservation, cause two weeks after I had emailed and made a phone call to my agent, it still wasn't cancelled. I must say that she responded immediately. I'm sure it was just the agent I had, but I will make my own ressies from now on!

What should I do? I'm so confused now. Everytime we've gone to Disney we've always delt directly with CRO. After hearing of Small World Vac. and the great reviews they've gotten, I'm wondering what I should do. I have a room only ressie for Jan. 2-9 at WL. I know Small World automatically applies discounts and I was wondering if it would better serve me to use them. The problem is I would have to cancel my room ressie I've got now in order to use them because they won't work with someone who already has a ressie with Disney or another TA. Understandable. I'm just worried about canceling my woodview room at WL to use them but I want to be able to have the best shot possible for a discount. HELP!!! :confused3
