Small World frustrations

We are booked at the ASMovies from 7/3-7/10. I have been using Small World vacations to book everything. I really starting to get frustrated with our agent. First, room was not reserved due to computer problems at beginning of Dec. Then she said she would let us know of all the new deals-never happened. I ended up emailing her. Now last week we decided to add on dining plan. She said she would update packages and let me know as soon as she could. Am I wrong in thinking that we are last on her list? I know she is not getting any commission from me-or at least I think she isnt. But being in cust service, wouldnt you want to be more attentive to customers?

I think if you are not pleased with the services, you should request a refund and find a new TA that is willing to assist you. ::MinnieMo

I agree with princessknb. You should be happy, not frustrated.

Funny, I've been having the same frustrations. I keep e-mailing and getting no response! I thought they would guide me, instead I'm chasing them!

Definitely contact the owner of the company and voice your concerns, I would personally ask for another agent. That is if you want to still support Mousesavers through them. Even if you don't you should voice your concerns

jellybean - I just noticed this is your first post, welcome to the boards. I know I don't post much myself but find it interesting that your first post would be negative

I wonder if you are both using the same agent, considering you are having the same problem about responses

Why use a travel agent at all? We book direct with resort and our dining PSs. That way, when I get off the one phone call, I know what I have. if discount codes come through, you can always call back and change your existing ressie.
by this time of year I would already have my late June through July 4 dates booked and done.
Careful you don't wait on your TA too long and miss getting a room altogether. Sounds like something major is going on with them. :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsgirl:

One more thing, my friend is using them and they provided her with a toll free number for the agent. Why not call your agent if you can't get in touch with them by email and voice your frustrations and ask for the main office number.

Well I finally got an answer the other day. She said she had family in over the weekend. Our room is booked so I am at least saved there. She is working on our priority seating with the dining plan. On her defense, she did give me a 800# to call her direct. I guess I am just over anxious about getting it all taken care of. Thanks to everyone for their replys!

Hi! Wierd I just posted yesterday about our agent who works through Small World. We used her last year after lots of great reviews on another board and the only reason was so that I wouldn't have to stress about the AP discounts. She knew and secured them for me right away. However getting emails back from her could take a few days and it was frustrating. I understood the reason though, because it would only happen if I emailed on late friday, since she too needed days off from work. Frustrating though because I was over here super excited and could hardly wait for her replys. I used her also for our ps's mainly so she could get a commission, however I'm not sure that travel agents get them for dining reservations. Anyone know? When I called myself later to change our Fantasmic dinner time, ooh it was the height of fun for me :goodvibes honest!
Anyway even though it took along time to hear from her in the end everything turned out real well for us and she even called us when we were there to make sure everything was going smoothly and such.
Good luck and I hope everything goes well for you from here on in.

 I also use small world vacations, I do receive e-mails in a timely manner, however,It is difficult to reach her by phone. This is frustrating, but I am excited and tend to be a little impatient. Overall, she has been very helpful!!!

I would guess that the time difference would also make a big difference on replies, since you live in Sweden. I would think that if you emailed during your afternoon hours it would be passed office hours for her and as you listed the weekends would take longer as I think they would have some days off. I know that my agent has hours listed in her signature on the emails so I know that if I send an email during the time she isn't working it may take longer to get back to me

No they don't get commissions for making priority seatings. Any agent that offers that is doing it as a courtesy and not because they are making money off of it. My agent told me that they only get paid commission on room only, the packages, admission tickets and cirque tickets
